Amazing Harness

Arc'teryx S240 Sport Climbing Harness

Arc'teryx S240 Sport Climbing Harness

Rating for this product: 5 February 14, 2010

I just received this harness about a week ago and I have loved every minute of it. This is a really light harness which is fantastic for gym and sport climbing. It also packs away very small which is great if you have to trek up to a climb. It is comfortable as well, I barely noticed it on me the whole time while climbing. Arc'teryx even gave it a cool tin for storage. A+

Great Belay Carabiner

Black Diamond VaporLock Screwgate Carabiner

Black Diamond VaporLock Screwgate Carabiner

Rating for this product: 5 February 14, 2010

This is a fantastic biner for use with a belay device. It doesn't make too much friction when trying to quickly lower your partner, but it makes you feel secure while belaying all the time. It is also amazingly light which is fantastic when every ounce counts.

Smooth as Butter

Petzl Reverso 3 Belay and Rappel Device

Petzl Reverso 3 Belay and Rappel Device

Rating for this product: 5 February 14, 2010

This is an amazing belay device. While at the gym yesterday, I never once had it snag up which has happened to me while using an ATC. In addition, the orientation of the hole for belaying a partner from above is much better thought out than that on the ATC which can twist the rope. Sure, it's a little bit pricier than the ATC, but well worth it

Good Shoes

Evolv Pontas Climbing Shoe

Evolv Pontas Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 February 9, 2010

These are really great performance orientated shoes. They edge well and the sticky rubber is top notch. I have taken it sport climbing as well as bouldering and in the gym and it has handled all of that exceedingly well. Like others have said, the rubber is not the most durable, but I believe it's easily worth it for the performance you get from the shoes

Smith Fuse Goggle

January 18, 2010

Good Mountaineering Goggles?

I am looking for some mountaineering goggles and these looked like a good value, I was just wondering if any of the colors had polarized lenses since that would be a big plus. If not, are there goggles with polarized lenses you would recommend?

Pretty Good

Arc'teryx C40 Chalk Bag

Arc'teryx C40 Chalk Bag

Rating for this product: 4 January 15, 2010

I love the arc'teryx bags overall. They have great designs and actually look good unlike many chalk bags. The c40 is a pretty good size, I probably should have gone with a c50p, but the c40 was all that was in stock so I just went with it. I definitely recommend that if you use a chalk sock, use a small one, if you use a larger design it can be a little tighter than ideal for the bag. Overall, this bag is perfect for people with small to medium hands and want a smaller bag for bouldering or sport climbing.
