I have been using a GSI coffee press at home for years. This Java press works great too! Much safer than glass presses which break and cause nasty cuts! I prefer my Snow Peak titanium press for backpacking, but it is only 2 cups.

Pricey but well made and light weight. A bottom handle would be nice.

Osprey Packs Stratos 24 Backpack - 1300-1700cu in

Rating for this product: 2 November 25, 2009

I hate to knock an Osprey pack, but I have no choice. The Stratos 24 did not work for me. The zipper access and volume of the Stratos pack was great! Unfortunately, I had a problem with the shoulder straps being too narrow on my neck. I tried both medium and large sizes but I could not get the right fit. I don't consider myself an unusual size either (5'10" 196 lbs). In addition, the fabric on the shoulder straps is like sandpaper. It was not comfortable without a turtle neck shirt. I was surprised no one mentioned the strap issue because a ton of reviews are posted.

My first Osprey pack was the Atmos 50 and its waffle pad shoulder straps fit great! I exchanged the Stratos 24 for the Osprey Atmos 35 which has also has the waffle pad straps. It's the smaller volume pack that I needed and the medium fits great!

Backcountry is the best. LiveChat is awesome! They accept returns without question and are eager to address any issues. For online purchases, Backcountry is hard to beat!
