I wish they made wide and 1/2 sizes!

Chaco Z/1 EcoTread Sandal - Girls'

Chaco Z/1 EcoTread Sandal - Girls'

If your child is lucky enough to fit these, they'll love them. I live in mine. My daughter has consistently fallen between two sizes in length and they run a tad narrow. My daughter does not have wide feet, but the outside of her foot does not fit all the way on the foot bed. We are going to try them anyway because nobody else makes a sport sandal like chaco. I just wish they would make more variety in sizing. Also, the heel strap and bed are a bit large relative to the rest of the shoe.

The North Face Outbound Pant - Women's

The North Face Outbound Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 14, 2011

I have a pear shape. My hips are wide. I have trouble finding pants that are flattering and comfortable too. This pant really delivered. I like a relatively low rise. I am 5' 8", about 140 lbs. I like this pant for hiking and even to wear to classes. The asphalt grey is more versitle, the tan color is clearly a hiking pant, but the color isn't as forgiving if you like to get dirty- I do. So, I recommend the grey. I bought two grey and one tan. I might go for one more pair. It isn't often I find a pant that delivers like this one. My last favorites were the mountain khaki alpine. Now they don't have reinforced knees and the sizing is wackadoodle.

Run large for tech pants

Mountain Hardwear Winter Wander Pant - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Winter Wander Pant - Women's

I like these pants, but am returning them because they are huge. I am 5'8" 140 lbs and I usually wear a ten in tech pants. There is a review that says, 5'8" 135 lbs size 8 fit perfectly. So, I assumed I would be a ten as usual. Nope. I almost held onto them because they would be very versatile. Every time I went to wear them, I felt uncomfortable with how loose they were and couldn't bring myself to wear them. Oh, well. I wish BC had them in 8's, and now they are on sale.

My only problem is that all the colors aren't pictured here, so it is hard to pick the right size color combination without alot of hassle. I have a relatively small head and the medium is a little loose, but comfortable. The small is snug. I don't need it snug, so I'm going for the medium. The bill of the hat has a scored seam that allows for folding the hat so it can be put into your back pocket. It does look a tad odd, but isn't a deal breaker for me. Backcountry, could you show the other colors for those of us who are picky about colors?

Running smaller than they used to.

Mountain Khakis Alpine Pant - Women's

Mountain Khakis Alpine Pant - Women's

I have had two pairs of this pant in size ten. The ten's have been a little loose, but comfortable. These pants are heavy and start out quite stiff. They do soften with wear, but stay somewhat rigid. I ordered a ten in these and it was about 2" smaller in the waist than my others, as well as smaller in general. I had to return them. If you order the correct size, I recommend them as a good work pant. Comparable to Carhardt in function.
