Rome Agent Snowboard

Rome Agent Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

I wish this snowboard was a woman so I could elope with her to a faraway place and shred for the rest of our lives. The Agent needs a z-pack because it is SICK. I picked this up from backcountry a couple weeks ago (they're offering a great price right now.) I've got nothing but the best to say about it. I put it through it's paces, hit some rails, massive air, massive wipeouts, powder, a little free riding. It handled like a dream in all conditions. Excellent pop, very flexy and lightweight. The Agent can handle whatever you throw at it. This stick can do the impossible.

Burton Ruler Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton Ruler Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2009

Picked up the camo colored Rulers and rode them like Dio's tiger last season. Can't say that I've had a single problem with them. They stay warm, dry, fit is very customizable and they look sweet. Laces up right quick. Definitely get them heat molded if you've got the chance, i've got flat feet and it was worth the extra 10 minutes. If you can pick 'em up on the cheap, go for it.

Better boards out there for the money

Burton Blunt Snowboard

Burton Blunt Snowboard

Rating for this product: 2 January 19, 2009

I've taken this board out about four times now, but the top sheet is already cracking and there are considerable chips in the laminate. This board has a problem with that. I haven't done any hard core riding on it. Don't listen to burton's blurb up top, this board is definitely NOT a tank. I haven't even really broken it in yet and i've already gotta send it in for warranty work, that is ridiculous. I only give it a two because it handles well and has decent pop. Don't buy burton because of the name. Check out rome or ride first, burton's quality is on the decline, but at least they have a good warranty.

go talk to a local dealer if you can, they should point you in the right direction with some input from you. You will be able to find a better deal for the board you pick online, but they will be able to help you pick the right one. Also capita makes an excellent board at a good price. Not always true, Adrian you've come to a good place. Please contact a Backcountry gearhead, you'll most likely find a good deal. Also, it depends on what type of riding you want to do. Since you posted in Burton I would assume you're looking at burton boards, which is cool, but there are MUCH better boards out there for the money. First figure out what type of riding you want to do, park, all-mountain, trees, etc. Then check out board descriptions and find the one that fits. If you're just starting off, check out rome's starter boards like the cheaptrick, crail, vinyl, they're cheaper and better built.
