  • Stomping Grounds:

    Alaska ~ Outdoors Nirvana !
  • Bio:

Cannot get enough of the outdoors living in a place like Alaska! Every day you test yourself and rely on your ability to make decisions.

The best feeling in the world is trying to push a new boundry and making it! Sometimes 'making the move' is the hardest thing you can experience, but it will also be the most rewarding (even if you fail!).

The best trip is when you are out in the middle of nowhere and love being there.

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 9, 2009

I was extremely excited to receive this jacket right before my two week trip to Red Rocks, NV. Even after off width cracks, face climbing and a little chimney scraping, this jacket came through without scuffing, snagging or showing ANY signs of wear. That sandstone should have left its mark, but nothing happened to this jacket!
Loved the fit, the breathability and (at the same time) the windblock feature. The zippered sleave pocket was perfect for route notes (easy access) and the collar soft and warm against my neck. This jacket packed down into a weighless wad inside my haul pack and I recommend it 100%.

Keeping it simple and easy!

Black Diamond Dynex Daisy Chain - 12mm

Black Diamond Dynex Daisy Chain - 12mm

Rating for this product: 5 July 8, 2009

As a beginning climber (less than 1 1/2 years) I appreciate keeping things simple. The Dynex Daisy chain is perfectly suited to use for attaching to the anchor at the top of a pitch.

I have one end of the daisy chain through my harness and then can place the locker 'bnr through any of the remaining loops to make the length perfect for the anchor. When not in use, I run the 'bnr through the end and middle loop and hook to my harness loop and it is out of the way for cimbing. Sweet and simple.

Two lengths available for the tall and small (like me).

~Cindi (first lead: 7/06/09 and pretty excited about it!)
