Snowboarding is awesome. I prefer to do it regularly. Ideally, in hidden fresh gnarness with no tracks but my own. I also like to get lost in the woods by foot or on wheels during the summer.

Nixon 51-30 Watch - Men's

May 20, 2009

This isn't a kinetically powered watch...you shouldn't have to wear it for it to keep time properly, or wind it. If it is stopping and starting check to make sure that the adjustment dials are screwed down all the way, if you're still having problems hit up our customer service department and they'll get you a new one, pronto.

Burton AK 2L Stagger Pant - Men's

May 1, 2009

Jeremy has been heavily involved with the development of the AK line in the past years - he's brought some style to the most tech product, which is sick. He wears several different AK outerwear pieces, including these.

That is correct. The custom X is pretty stiff, the t6 is REALLY stiff, and the Vapor is only about as stiff as a regular Custom.

Anon Realm Goggle

April 17, 2009

Yo Mitch, the Purps come with the Gold Ice lens, which has a pretty reflective mirrored coating on it as well. Both will hide your wandering eyes when staring at the snowbunnies' springtime cleavage on the lift, but the Blue Solex mirror lens in the White Emblem color is definitely darker looking through it (more for super bright sunny days). The Gold Ice lens is more of an all-around lens even though it has a mirrored finish.

Thule Big Mouth Bike Mount

April 16, 2009

Hey Jason, you can find compatibility info for your 4Runner with our super-fly Rack Configurator linked at the top of the page. Most of the time racks can be adapted to your roof cross-bars with a particular piece of hardware. Check it out, it should give you all the info you need, and it's pretty easy to use.

GoPro Helmet HERO Wide Camera

GoPro Helmet HERO Wide Camera

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2009

Not sure the guy below knew that you can easily expand the memory on this thing with a standard memory card... Anyway, this little guy is perfect for shooting hilarious videos of buddies lawn-darting while trying to stick tricks off of cornices, or for proving to your skeptical friends that you really did straightline that chute at Jackson Hole that everybody else was pansying out on. Great wide angle lens so it's easy to keep the action in-frame. You're not gonna produce a Hollywood-caliber video with this, but it's pretty awesome to be able to document your runs without lugging around a huge bulky camera (or having to stress about damaging your expensive 3-chip). Plus, it's under $200 bones, awesome.

Burton XIII Snowboard Boot - Men's

April 11, 2009

the toe box is a little wider...the length is similar.

Your toes should be touching the end (but not smashed) when you're standing up straight in the boots when they're laced up, they'll break in a bit and give you just a hair more room.

Burton Custom X Snowboard - Wide

February 22, 2009

Yes, but if you're new to the sport you don't need the CustomX wide. Save some money and get a regular Custom wide. If you're new to shredding, you definitely don't want a board this stiff. Get something more forgiving (a regular Custom is a good suggestion) and you'll have a lot more fun.

Burton AK Oven Mitten - Men's

December 30, 2008

You shouldn't need to wear liners underneath these-I have a set of them and I can only wear them when it's in the single digits Fahrenheit or below, because they're so warm. Granted, my hands don't get cold too easily, but if you're looking for the warmest mitt possible, this is definitely a great option.

Burton Ronin Piste-Off Glove - Men's

Burton Ronin Piste-Off Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 30, 2008

They're pretty basic warmer-weather park/pipe gloves, but with 6 fingers on each hand. I love conspicuously checking my watch or twiddling my thumbs, or anything else that draws attention to my hands, while wearing these on the chairlift. So priceless for getting uncomfortable stares from gapers. The grip is great and the extra finger really doesn't get in the way too much.

pow pow powder board

Burton Supermodel Snowboard

Burton Supermodel Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

This is easily my favorite piece of gear I own...because if I'm riding it then the snow is good. I find the Supermodel to be ideal for any depth of snow...it rips on the groomers, but really shines in the powder....4", 12" 24"....doesn't matter. I've shralped this thing in chest deeep snow before. Delicious.

For me, the 10mm of taper is perfect... I still feel comfortable getting in the air and landing on it, but it turns on a dime when I'm romping a top-secret tree stash. I personally love the stiffness...if you have too stiff of a board in the powder it makes it harder for the nose to stay on top of the snow. My buddies are always getting pissed at me because i totally drop them once we hit the flats at the bottom of a run...the base on this thing is really, really fast.

I hope Anon never changes this goggle. I've had multiple pairs of them for as long as I can remember, and they are still so clutch. They fit great, don't fog up, and come in sick colors and prints. Highly recommended.

Buttery awesomeness

Burton Fix Snowboard

Burton Fix Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

The Fix is my park/dork-off board of choice. The Scoop Tech makes it basically impossible to catch your edge while you're throwing butters around and around, and the flex is soft enough to press and jib, but stiff enough to keep you confident when you're hauling ass. The ICS system gives you a ridiculous amount of stance options that you can adjust in about 30 seconds, so you can't make any excuses about how your bindings aren't set perfectly out on the hill :-D

Overall, I would recommend this to somebody who likes to ride a lot of park, or wants a soft, jibbable board that is a ton of fun to ride.

Anon Realm Goggle

Anon Realm Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

I am a self proclaimed goggle whore and I have too many pairs of these. Bottom line is that the spherical lens makes for super clear vision, and the strap hinges help them fit great on a medium to wider face. Even around my furry Sasquatch dome. However, they also look totally sick, which is the real reason you are looking at them. It's OK to admit it, you're right.

Burton XIII Snowboard Boot - Men's

Burton XIII Snowboard Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

I rode Ions for many years, but tried these on once and knew I had to shred in them. I got mine last April and put in 20+days on them....man are they nice. Definitely softer than an Ion or Driver X, but still supportive enough if you lace them up nice and snug, and for me, it's a perfect mix of support and mobility. There is definitely enough flex in these to press and butter, but I've always felt confident in them to support my ankles on landings. They are definitely premium in every way, easily the most comfortable boot I have ever owned in over a decade of riding. The liners make sweet, sweet love to my feet in a way I never thought could be possible with something besides fuzzy slippers.

my quiver destroyer

Burton Custom X Snowboard

Burton Custom X Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 December 8, 2008

if I have no idea what the conditions are going to be like at the hill, I ride this board. It can do everything, and do it well. I prefer to ride it at high speed in pursuit of fresh snow, but it also kills on the groomers and gets in the air well if you feel like hitting some jumps. I wouldn't slide a ton of rails or boxes on it - the stainless steel edges are sharp as hell and it's pretty stiff...more ideal for holding turns in any kind of snow at any speed. The base is retarded fast on this thing, and it's also crazy light. ICS is the bomb.... limitations of pre-set stance positions are a thing of the past. Only negative thing is the topsheet scratches kind of easily, but I could give a crap about that, honestly. It rides awesome anywhere on the entire mountain, from jumps to trees to groomers to bowls to the pipe, and that's all I care about.
