Tight Fit

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite Tank - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite Tank - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 29, 2009

I found this to have an EXTREMELY tight fit. The shoulder panels are very narrow--as the title says, think "tank" not "sleeveless". So, I found it to run quite small for a medium. Fabric felt great though.

Fits small

The North Face Nemesis Tank - Men's

The North Face Nemesis Tank - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 September 29, 2009

I found this tank to run a bit smaller than North Face's usual medium sizing. I'm 5'10", 165, and have fairly muscular shoulders for a slim guy. Too much of my shoulders were exposed on the sides, and the length of the shirt was going to be too short when allowing for the inevitable shrinking in the wash. I'm returning it due to the sizing, but I think a large would be a better fit. The material is very light, as other reviewers have noted, and I imagine it would be great for summer runs and workouts, but I share some of the durability concerns.

Quality Jacket

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2007

The reviews for this coat are on target:

Pros -
-Excellent wind-stopping ability
-Good, athletic fit
-Soft material

Cons -
-Pockets are high cut, a little uncomfortable
-Obnoxious chest logo
-External chest pocket is awkward. I wish the Napoleon pocket was on the outside.
-Not nearly as warm as some reviewers suggest. Keeps out the wind, but isn't super-insulative.
-Neck could be a litle tighter. I have a big neck relative to the rest of my body. Even so, when fully zipped up, the collar still isn't snug against my skin.

Overall, a recommended jacket, with a few acceptable drawbacks.
