Black Diamond Transfer 7 Shovel

This fits perfectly into my CamelBak Snoblast. Not looking for a true backcountry shovel - more for making some small jumps or small digging. This is perfect for the job. Good size and the extension makes it a little more bearable. Great quality shovel - and I like the handle design. It was this or the deploy 7 and I went with this for the longer handle and bigger shovel since I wasn't worried about space in my pack.

What is this for...!?

Great little kit - but I have to say that I like the older version with the snap in zipper bag. This new version seems like a better idea - but the little plastic storage bin comes out of the bag too easily - so very hard to use when in the bag. So if you have to take the plastic out to get to the...stuff...then I find it easier to use the bag - easier to hold/manage in one hand if you're on a lift.

But since they don't make that version any more - this is a nice version. Even comes with a nice little "poker" to clean out any clogs. The new version "poker" is also straight which lets you get a little deeper into clog.

Warm, waterproof and compact!

The North Face Hoback Work Glove

Wanted a glove for colder spring days and waterproof enough for spring snow in the east - these are great. I also love these because they have a short cuff which fits nicely under the cuffs of my jackets. Good quality and definitely pretty warm - I can wear these down to around 15-25^...but FYI-I am rarely cold to begin with.
