Merrell Chameleon Evo GTX XCR Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

I decided a year back to move from boots to shoes when backpacking. I bought several pairs from different companies. Finally I ordered the Merrell Chameleon Evo GTX XCR. I wore them for a few weeks around the house and then I put them to the test. I hiked down the South Kaibab Trail to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, spent two days hiking around at the bottom and then hiked back out on the Bright Angel Trail. This is the best shoe I have ever hiked in!! I wish that I had figured this out several hundreds of dollars ago, not to mention all the blisters!! Great shoe and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to leave the world of heavy boots behind.
