These really do feel like wearing nothing. They're an excellent minimalist shoe and the thin mesh upper adds top notch breathability.

La Sportiva Miura VS Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe

La Sportiva Miura VS Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 May 3, 2012

These bad boys are awesomely aggressive. Great for steep routes of boulder problems. The heel fit it also right on. For sizing I would size aggressively. A half size down from your Miura Lace size is a good rule of thumb. They'll hurt a bit at first but soon stretch for a solid performance fit.

prAna Mojo Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 2, 2012

These are hands down my favorite shorts. You can really do anything in them. They are awesome for climbing on those hot and sunny days, great for lounging around, and they're light enough to feel great when worn on a longer run.

La Sportiva Quantum Trail Running Shoe - Men's

La Sportiva Quantum Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 2, 2012

These shoes felt a bit strange at first but after a few runs they felt great. I especially like the tighter fit and the thicker heel which works great for heel strikers like me!

Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Nano Puff Pullover Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 14, 2012

This jacket is nearly impossible to beat for the weight to warmth ratio. It's impressively warm and kept me plenty insulated on day pushes in the Tetons and the Lone Peak Cirque. Also, it stuffs into its own pocket and can easily be clipped to your harness or stuffed in your pack out of the way. If you want a little more warmth you could opt for the hooded version or check out the Thermawrap from Montbell. If speed is your game however and you want that extra bit of protection from what the mountains will throw at you, check out the Nano pullover.

Fast and Light

Sterling Fusion Nano Dry Single Rope - 9.2mm

Sterling Fusion Nano Dry Single Rope - 9.2mm

Rating for this product: 5 February 14, 2012

This rope is the money for alpine climbing! You'll barely feel it on your back or in your pack on the approach. The small diameter and light weight makes handling it a breeze while leading or setting up belays. It lacks the durability of many fatter ropes but it's not meant for everyday use. Check out the Marathon pro for your workhorse! Another excellent product from Sterling!

These are excellent pants for climbing or for just wearing around in warmer temps. I live in mine. You can't beat them for flexibility and they are much more durable than they look.

DMM Wallnuts

DMM Wallnuts

Rating for this product: 5 July 8, 2010

These are my favorite every day use nuts. They bite great and seem to fit better than any other nuts i have. The smaller sizes are my favorite in these. I find myself going for those sometime on nearly every climb and they have held whipper after whipper.

Great small cams

Metolius Master Cam

Metolius Master Cam

Rating for this product: 4 July 8, 2010

Great small cams. Their narrow heads fit great in pin scars and other smaller placements. It's great to have a small cam that offers the holding power of 4 lobes. I think they compliment Black Diamond c3's great. The only caution with these cams is they generally don't work as well in horizontal placements and their durability is questionable. Overall though, a great addition to your rack though.

Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 July 8, 2010

This is a killer car camping/campground pad. It packs down without a ton of bulk and self inflates better than most pads i've used. Also, the level of comfort provided is great. 5 star pad for sure!

DMM Alloy Offset Set #7-11

DMM Alloy Offset Set #7-11

Rating for this product: 5 July 8, 2010

Great for pin scars and weird funky placements. Used these in yosemite for the past 3 weeks. They saved me from some long scary runouts many a time. Be sure to use a nut tool when cleaning these guys. The cables tend to kink easier then regular nuts.

Best lightweight synthetic Tee, hands down

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 15, 2010

The wicked lite is the most comfortable synthetic t shirt i have ever worn. It feels like soft cotton and keeps you cool. It's not as rugged as others, but it's not meant to be used for high abrasion activities. It's a great lightweight synthetic for high output activities like trail running, hiking, fast packing, ect. It's also great to just wear around town when it gets blazing out.

DMM Peenuts

DMM Peenuts

Rating for this product: 5 April 15, 2010

These things work wonders in LCC granite. I've whipped on the smallest size several times and it didn't even thing about pulling. They are somewhat specialized but you'll be amazed the places these things fit and the security the offer on an otherwise puckery run out.

Best midweight out there

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

Patagonia R1 Fleece Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 15, 2010

I live in my r1 in cooler weather. I've dragged it halfway around the world, worn it to scrape up gut wrenching offwidths, and when it was new i even wore it to the first date i had in 5 years. It's still going strong but it will die someday and then i will just recycle it. Yeah patagonia!

Killer tools

Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool

Black Diamond Viper Ice Tool

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2010

These tools are awesome. The swing takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of them they place great. They also clear bulges well. I have only climbed them leash less and use the new BD spinner leashes if i think dropping them will be an issue. Get after it!

MontBell Alpine Light Down Jacket - Men's

MontBell Alpine Light Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2009

One of my favorite pieces. Super light and super warm at 800 fill. I've carried this thing up to 20,000ft in Ecuador for extra insulation and it never failed. I also use this cragging and as my go to winter jacket here in SLC. True the shell fabric isn't the toughest but it's way tougher than you may think!

Metolius Boss Hog Crash Pad

Metolius Boss Hog Crash Pad

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2009

I'm not going to lie, i'm primarily a trad climber but when i do boulder this is what i bring. It has saved my ankles numerous times. The offset closure in the middle is brilliant and you can appreciate it if you have ever decked out in the center of a pad before. Not fun!

Great piece. Perfect for cold weather stand alone over a polypro T-shirt or over a capilene 4 for the really frigid days. The length of it is great as well especially if you wearing pants with suspenders.

Marmot Ellsworth Insulated Jacket - Men's

Marmot Ellsworth Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2009

Awesome jacket. This is my go to puffy for cragging and alpine climbing. A bit heavier than others but it's water resistance and near wind proof abilities make it totally worth the few extra ounces.
