The North Face VE 25 Tent 3-Person 4-Season

The North Face VE 25 Tent 3-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 February 2, 2009

I've used this tent for several years (used to be the Mountain 25), and love it dearly. The other reviewers are right - use this only in harsh conditions. Otherwise, get a cheaper and lighter 3 season tent to avoid camping in a sweat lodge...unless you're into that sort of thing.

The North Face McMurdo Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

If you live in a snowy place, you need a great pair of snow boots. The McMurdos are super warm, comfy, and look pretty tight too! As others have said, size your boot 1/2 size up. And enjoy. These boots rule!

Waterproof, toasty warm, and super tough. You can use this thing as a second home, even if you live in the North Pole. Easily the best sleeping bag I've ever owned or used.

Warm and sick value

ALPS Mountaineering Desert Pine Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic

ALPS Mountaineering Desert Pine Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Synthetic

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

The Desert Pine makes an excellent spare or beater bag. It's warm as hell and a great value. It's a big heavy for trips, although that's the case for most 0 degree bags. Nice bag.

Surprisingly good pack for the price

Vaude Asymmetric 50 Backpack - 3050 cu in

Vaude Asymmetric 50 Backpack - 3050 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 November 3, 2008

I bought this on Steep and Cheap for a SUPER LOW PRICE. Basically, I was looking for a beater bag I could take on two-night trips. Man, was I amazed at the pack's quality and comfort. It's better than most $200 to $300 packs of the same size. Two words - order today.

ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season Tent

ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season Tent

Rating for this product: 5 October 19, 2008

The Zephyr 2 is very useful for trips where you don't care if your tent gets torn up. The price is great, and it's a solid tent. It's mainly a great 2 person summer tent.
