Vasque Clarion GTX Backpacking Boot - Men's

October 16, 2011

I like the reviews and have ordered a pair but I was interested to know if these "Sky Walker" "The Soles of Records" soles are as good as the old Vibram lug soles (100s or the 100Rs). Will they last as long and are they as effective on dirt inclines, grassy cross-country hiking etc.(not interested in rock or concrete,I work and play in the hills). Thanks

Asolo Power Matic 200 GV Boot - Men's

September 28, 2011

How much do these boots actually weigh? The site here says 785 g for a pair which is obviously a misprint. The Lowa Banff that I had were something like 3 lbs.11 Oz.(1678 g.) and made my ancient knees hurt after 8-10 hours.

Scarpa SL M3 Backpacking Boot - Men's

September 28, 2011

Looking for a boot similar to this Scarpa SL M3 but lighter (bum knee here). Also does any boot have the old style Vibram Lug soles anymore? Those are the best for working in hilly, grassy slippery terrain.
