I enjoy using this while sitting on the phone at work listening to someone blab and blab and blab... You get the idea. Like Gabe says, if you're wasting time at work, why not waste the time productively and build some strength in your forearms, hands and fingers.

I got these for my twin girls with serious reservations as whether or not I should have gotten them a full body harness. Having said that, I am still glad I bought this for them, because it gave me the option to take away the modified slings I used as a chest harness the first few times. Now that they use the harness exclusively - once they gained a little more confidence - we have started actually using the gear loops for holding quickdraws. However, if you are a parent, I would definitely weigh the options yourself as to whether or not you should buy your own kid a full body or a normal harness.

This is a great helmet, it has everything I need. It is cheap, light, comfortable, breathes well, no obstructed view, and easy to adjust once on the head. The only exception is that the adjustment straps for under the chin are a pain in the butt to get 'em where you want 'em. A minor annoyance considering that once they are in place, you're pretty much good to go.

I have twin ten year old girls, and I bought these for them. I like the idea of both adjustment points, and the one at the heel doesn't seem to bother either of them. I haven't had any problems with the shoes wearing out, and that even includes the fact that my kids have just started and are still learning about proper footwork. For the most part, if I am going to buy shoes for the kids, to be honest, my first motive it cheapness. They are kids and the shoes will either be grown out of quickly or worn out quickly. Nothing against 5.10 or other brands, but if I can save 20 bucks, then that is 20 more dollars I can spend on other gear. Once the kids learn about rock climbing, learn proper footwork, and consistently enjoy going out and doing it, then I will think about getting something a little more expensive.

Comfort and style, what more could you ask for? I love these sandals, the open design is great for gettin' them wet and then dryin' 'em off. Comfortable enough to wear around camp all day, yet durable enough to take a pretty decent beating. They look pretty snazzy too.

I have yet to find any realy problems with this bag, I love it. I have kicked this thing around Afghanistan for several months and it has never shied from the abuse, taking it all and asking for more. It has seen the inside of several helicopters and MRAP's, and the outside of some serious rugged terrain. I have worh this for several days without problems, and it even adjusts decently well to my body armor. It carries enough food, clothes, sleeping bag and pad, water (hydration bladder pocket), and other gear to get you pretty much anywhere you need to go for a couple of days and stay comfortable the whole time. If you are a more spartan type of person, you could probably go for a long time anywhere in this bag. I can't wait to back and use this for my first hiking/camping trip.

Good for rap, durable, and I honestly prefer this a little bit more than an ATC for rap. Having sais that, I would not use one of these for belay, except as a back-up measure. For belay, I always go with an ATC or a Grigri, but that is just personal preference. I always have at least one of these whenever I hit the rocks.

This is a great device for belay and lowering, make sure that you get plenty of practice on the ground and in the gyms with leads, top-rope, etc., before you use it outside. Personally, I enjoy it more than the standard or guide versions of the ATC, but I am split on whether I like this or the BD super 8 for rap. Either way, this device is great, just make sure you know how to use it before you ever strap it on.

I would recommend for some some sport climbing routes where you need the occassional sling. I have several of each size of these and they hold up really well, and the 180 does work as a back up or replacement for the cordelette.

I have worn these quite a bit both outside and more recently inside and they are starting to show their use. They have stretched out a little bit and I am borderline on whether or not I should have ordered a half size down. Either way, use your own judgment. However, on smearing, these simply suck, which I why I am changing my earlier rating of four to three stars. Cracks, edging and toes still work well, but these thing smear like there is vegetable oil spread on the soles. If you plan on smearing a lot, get something else.

weight is almost non-existent, resilient and durable, and like all slings a wide variety of uses and functions.

This is probably one of the best package purchases out there for the novice/beginner. The harness is sturdy, durable, comfortable, and easy to use. As a bonus the harness does have an anchor/haul loop in the back which is a huge plus. The biner is the usual great BD quality, the ATC it functional and works like it is intended to, although I usually use a figure 8 (personal preference). The chalk bag and shot are practical, although I really wish BD would include a 1" wide nylon strap with a buckle or something so I don't have to waste a biner clipping this to a loop. Yes, it comes with a short tie, but really that just isn't pratical or helpful. Overall though, this is a fantastic package for those ready to start moving away from beginner/novice status in something a little more serious.

Works well in cracks and toes well. Good for novices and beginners, as well as those getting back into their game after a several year absence (like myself), and the price simply cannot be beat. After much debate, I ordered my street shoe size (10) and these fit like a glove and continue to fit like one. Hopefully, it won't stretch out much. Most of my climbing is outdoors, and I have not yet tried these in the gym.
