Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Softshell Jacket - Men's

October 27, 2008

Is there any difference between the spring 2007 and spring 2008 model? (possibly shorter sleeves in the 2007 edition or is this an idea to me???)

In this pack (and generally in multi-pocket hicking packs) the announced volume capacity refers to the main compartment only or the external multipockets are added too?

The North Face Hydrogen Jacket - Men's

The North Face Hydrogen Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 19, 2008

I saw it too in a store. It is incredibly light, thin and packs in very small size. You can hold it packed in your fist. I have to say that i am a little skeptical as for the shell resistance. How can i be sure that it won't tear when caught on a branch?..
Anyway, i preferred it having a hood. (I have another slightly heavier North Face windbreaker with a hood and is perfect for the belays).
About the zippers one reviewer said, Maybe it was the female version the one you tried. Male and female jackets have always the zippers in opposite sides(!).
