Marmot Palisades Jacket - Women's

Marmot Palisades Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 December 30, 2008

the jacket is nice. soft, comfortable, and the red is very nice. two negatives; the sleeves are a tad short and the snow skirt sucks unless you are too fat to wear the jacket in the first place.

update - sleeves were too short. GF wore it for a season then backcountry let us return it. BACKCOUNTRY ROCKS.

Great multi-purpose jacket

Marmot Ascend Jacket - Men's

Marmot Ascend Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 1, 2008

Well I wouldn't drop 275 on a soft shell that isn't 100% waterproof, as I live in a west coast rain forest. The jacket is comfy, fits great (L - 6'1" 175 lbs), looks great, warm, and very resillient (sp?) fabric. The water is pretty water repellent. Haven't gotten wet yet but haven't been caught in anything heavy yet. Perfect all around 3.5 season jacket!!

If I lost this jacket, I would first curse, then promptly replace it. Fleece jackets suck and you will retire all of yours once buying this.

Overall great jacket

Marmot Ascend Jacket - Men's

Marmot Ascend Jacket - Men's

I've only had this jacket for a few weeks now but I love it. I live on coastal bc rainforest climate and I'm very impressed with how well the water beads off of this jacket. It's material is a little stiff so it can kind of bunch up on you when you move around, but its a great jacket. It could use an inside pocket, but the 3 zippered pockets do just fine. I am 6'1" 175 lbs and the large fits great.
