Arc'teryx Ether Comp Jersey - Short-Sleeve - Men's

This is one of the more expensive performance t-shirts you carry. I noticed that most of the others in this price range are made of merino wool, but this one is just polyester. What makes this polyester so special and worth the extra money, as compared to a shirt like the Patagonia Airius T-Shirt (Item #PAT0788), which you sell for about $20 less?
