BOA system works great so far. Love the feel of the whole boot tighting. With one arm getting laces tied can be a pain! Feel good out of the box. Fit true to size I got a half size big and they fit exactly the way I expected. No complaints so far but haven't taken them out on trails.

Vasque Zephyr Tech Backpacking Boot - Men's

December 30, 2008

I've had 3 pairs of North Face Boa shoes and the lacing system has never malfunctioned. In fact, it was the shoe fabric that wore out to a point that I couldn't wear the shoe any longer, not the Boa system. These are GREAT shoes for someone who likes to get up and go, without the hassles of tying laces. It provides a better all around fit than regular laces too....but really, it's the lazy mans dream! The BOA system seems strong. I have pulled them outof the box all the parts seem fine. The only thing that MIGHT be week would be the actually tighting knob.
