This bad @$$ Audio dock is ideal for office, dorm or chillin' sessions however you feel you want to roll. The remote looks like an old school iPOD nano and the speakers on this sound crisp, clean and will make you look and feel sexy while you rock out to Yanni or the Beastie Boys.

Overall this small package delivers tons of sound and quality response. There are a lot of knock offs out there, but none can even come close to how sweet this is. Not to mention Skullcandy's epic warranty and service.

You will not be disappointed by this. I own 2 and this is a go to item for me when I am trying to find gifts for family and friends.

Try the Pipe, all your friends are doing it and they will make fun of you if you don't ;)

So, here is the skinny.

This was designed for secondary use or EMERGENCY use. The true nature of a probe is to probe, not to be a ski pole.

This would be great for an inbounds resort that has suffered an avalanche (There have been 4 deaths this season alone with these circumstances) and you just watched someone get swept away in an Avi and you are their first hope of surviving.

As far as back country goes, as a ski pole they are great; however, I can't stress enough the fact that ANY back country needs a separate probe. These simply will not work for a primary probe purpose.

To give a comparison, it is like having a map AND GPS. They compliment each other and you should always carry both.

Overall, these are a good buy and in closing, use as a probe for inbounds skiing for probe purposes. Otherwise, buy a probe

I use this for backcountry K-9 search and rescue and overall I am happy! Mind a few things however:

1. It is small and light. It isn't heavy and is in fact much lighter/smaller than the Garmin model and easier to use, but if you are in a cave or under heavy dense trees/plant life, you may lose GPS reception. Just like any GPS, you need a sky (literally) to triangulate your signal to. If it is in a heavy forest, etc. reception will be poor...JUST LIKE ANY GPS, but mind that I have used this in many extreme conditions from heavy snow and sleet to average "days in the park" and have only had a signal issue once (so did my Garmin 60 CSX).

2. Battery does well(despite a previous post...he is a moron, don't read his rating). The big thing is to be sure you charge it before you go and to remind yourself that the more you use the light, the more the GPS "updates", etc, the more battery you use (just like a normal GPS). I can go for almost a week between charges in GPS mode.The big thing to remember is that when you sleep at night or not using the watch, turn the GPS portion off.

3. Due to the watch's small size and antenna design, GPS connection at the very first "lock" can take a few. Be sure the watch is in 1 secs mode. It works well, but again, amount of open sky, available satellites, and other factors will play into this, but if you follow the given directions included in the watch, you will be fine.

4. Water. It can be submerged to 30M. Awesome feature if you decide to take in a lake for a swim. I recommend you do NOT press buttons while submerged...just to be safe.

5. Google Earth, and many other TOPOs can be used!!! Unlike the "other" models, this one can utilize many mapping programs to make your life easier and wallet happy due to not having to buy excessive software.

6. MOST IMPORTANT THING!!!!!
Be sure to remember to use this as a secondary device and not as a replacement for a main GPS and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS carry a map and compass. Electronics do and have failed...don't let it happen to you!!!!!!1

2 words: BAD ASS!

Light, bright, kicks ass in the night! This little guy is wonderful! It is supposed to be able to be re-charged with the appropriate battery pack, but I have yet to see it available on this site or @ black diamond.

This is the size of a can of soup and extends into a world or brightness and ease! I full heartedly recommend this for any type of camping/hiking/exploration! This is a wonderful unique device that is so light-weight and bright that I believe it outshines/performs most of the competition.

The tripod folding design is brilliant and the "hook" for hanging is also ideal for hanging in the trees or tent.

I can't recommend this enough. The compactability, size, brightness and battery life are all huge reasons to buy this. Although the listing says 60 hours, I feel 50 is more appropriate if it is on the "brightest" setting the entire time. I now own 2 of these and and never camp w/o 1 of 'em

2 words: BAD ASS!!!!

This product is the epitome of minimalist. I can't recommend this lantern enough. It compacts down to a size of Campbell's soup, but yet when it unfolds, it will literally brighten your tent and all other surroundings. The battery is more towards the 50 hours side on the "brightest" setting, but that is still remarkable.

The box and black diamond say they have a rechargeable battery kit for this, but I can't find it on this size (as of the date I entered this) or on black diamond's site.

Overall, this little lunar shaped lantern is my perfect night light source. I have since replaced my "big" lantern for this and I couldn't be happier.

Screw the whole "meal in a bag" idea. Try this: Corn tortillas, lil bit of oil, and pre-made meat. Place 2 tortillas down with some oil, flip, then add meat. This bad @$$ pan will fry them up better then Ol' Mexico and better then the taco stands downtown. Cool device. Get it. All your friends will make fun of you if you don't.

Pretty simple plan really....you get lost, search and rescue finds you, and you can thank the RECCO for that; wait, you are also warm and upon the search team's arrival. I recommend it due to warmth, style, comfort and overall quality. It is a bit lengthier than most coats too which is a plus for powder!!!

The watch is versatile. It looks good on the town and also on the mountain. I have been very impressed by the ease and functionality of the product. I use it on Search and Rescue and I have had a very positive experience form it. BEWARE!!! The altimeter is based of atmospheric pressure. Weather changes can make the altimeter be off a few hundred feet. Also, if you have gnarly weather as Utah does (i.e. Lake Effect rain/snow), the barometer may show "sun" but it may be raining. The thermometer is also picking up body heat so you have to adjust 10-20 degress. I know that these "BEWARES" sound bad; however, keep in mind that the technology doesn't exist yet to counteract these anomolies and it is rare when you have to deal with them. Overall it is very accurate and dependable. ALWAYS REMEBER TO BRING AN OLD SCHOOL COMPASS!!!! BATTERIES DO FAIL! 5 stars definetly and I would definetly recommend this to you or my family.

These boots can be summed up in one simple word: IDEAL

The boots are warm and designed for thicker socks to be worn to add extra protection against the elemets. I am on a K-9 search and rescue team and these boots have withheld extreme temps that I have had to endure with my German Shepherd.

The boots are high on the leg to help prevent possible ankle fractures and the boots are designed to be a bit big for the extra thick socks that can be worn. The removable soles are great for quick drying of any sweat that may have accumulated also!

The boot is comfortable from day one and I have NEVER had a problem with any of my pairs of these that I have owned. The only reason I had to even consider geting a new pair was because I accidentally cut the sides of them rendering the waterproof element worthless(long story....need not discuss)

In closing, I am pretty sure angels crafted these for all human kind so that our feet stay warm, dry and comortable. Praise Baby Jesus!!! DO NOT CONSIDER ANY OTHER BRAND OR KNOCK OFF!!!!!

Overall, I am impressed with this pack. The major things that disappoint me are the shoulder straps. There is very little, if any, padding on them. Granted you are supposed to wear this for a winter pack, and when wearing it with a decent winter coat, padded straps aren't really vital, but due to me being on a K-9 Search & Rescue team, I would like to utilize this pack in the warmer seasons also and this particular bag will probably not convert well (which is odd because it is made in Utah and everyone "converts" here...a small joke for the locals of Utah...sorry).

As I previously mentioned, the pack overall is great. I have 2 shovels by BD (the Deploy 7 & and Transfer 7) and both fit well. The hydration slits could be a little larger, but a quick pocket knife can fix this (possibly BD's intention?). I thoroughly enjoy being able to carry my gear on the outside while the vibrant red/orange stands out to others while I am in the backcountry, and, God/Baby Jesus forbid, buried in an avalanche.

The overall purpose of this pack is definitely ski/snowshoe related. You may be able to "jerry" rig it to suit a board, however, I would sooner buy a pack for boarding due to the sheer ease of it.

The Y suspension is comfortable and the pack's material is very strong/tough. If carrying a sleeping bag and pad, I would place them outside on the helmet holder or buy a few extra straps and cinch them down.

I think a 55L model is needed, but the 45L keeps things in perspective and keeps the "overstock" from occuring.

I will go with a 4 star rating due to all the pros and cons combined, but don't let this persuade you to buy a different pack. If you purchase this bad-ass pack, you will be happy.
