Not truly a system jacket

The North Face Boundary Triclimate Jacket - Girls'

Rating for this product: 2 August 24, 2008

I'm looking for a system jacket for my 7 year old daughter and tried this and the Burton jacket (which I also reviewed) and sent both back. The quality of this jacket was better than the Burton; however, the North Face fleece lining does not zip into the shell. A true system jacket should have a zip-in lining and snaps at the cuff to keep the lining from pulling out of the sleeves. This is really nothing more than a shell layered over a fleece coat. Still looking. . .

Disappointed

Burton System Jacket - Girls'

Rating for this product: 2 August 24, 2008

Was looking for a system jacket for my 7 year old daughter and had ordered this and the North Face Triclimate. . . let's just say, I'm still looking. While the Burton jacket lining zipped in, the sleeves, which normally have some type of snap at the cuffs didn't which meant that when she pulled her arms out of the sleeve, the lining came with it. I don't know too many kids who have the patience to carefully pull their arms from the sleeve to prevent the lining from coming with it. I guess I could have added or had a snap added to it, but decided to send it back.
