Rubicon Rider Jack

Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 15, 2010

I just received this in the mail yesterday. I ordered the Black size M on SAC for a KILLER deal. I live in Kansas, so this jacket won't see the slopes too often (I zipped the powderskirt out immediately), but it has been frigid here lately. I have not tested it yet, (short, warmer spell), but it looks and feels like my warmest coat yet! I love the fact that the shell and insulation both contain recycled content. I am an athletic ( 4-pac and a little pudge) 175, 6'. The first thing I noticed was that the sleeves were a little longer than I'm used to, then I extended my arms. No wrist exposure! It seems like all my jackets allow exposure when driving/biking. The second thing I noticed was that it DOES HAVE PIT-ZIPS! This was somewhat of a surprise because I even chatteded with a "gearhead" that confirmed the lack of Pit-zips (while a review stated they were included). The M cut leaves enough room for me to wear an additional layer of insullation under (a 200 fleece) although I doubt I will ever need it. The material appears to be durable and the lifetime warranty gives peace of mind. Patagonia is the $#![.

GoLite Trail Fly Trail Running Shoe - Men's

GoLite Trail Fly Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 22, 2009

I have had my eye on these for a while, and they finally popped up on SAC for a "killer deal". I accidentally ordered two pairs because of multi-tasking, but after trying these on, I'm keeping both. These are awesome, I have not yet trail-tested them as I have only had them for a few days, but I have walked/ jogged in them on on-road. They have a great supported feel and a sole that rolls your foot forward. These are probably the most comfortable shoe I have worn. The 3 options for insoles are a good touch too, I chose the med. The toe box and shoe in general is nice and roomy, but not enough for slippage w/ the correct insole and tie-job. The shoe is surprisingly light for it's overall volume (they aren't lean and mean, just mean.) They do have a tongue gusset, but it's translucent as are some vents on the sides of the shoe, so don't mistake this for a shoe you can spray to water-proof, instead these focus on ventilation. The fabric used for all the impt. spots is solid, composed of ripstop and "neoform" which is a rubberized-like material that is easily cleaned. The 12/12.5 fit me nicely and I wear a 13 in PUMA, ASICS, & Patagonia. I wear a 12 in Merrell.

Oakley Vent MTB Short - Women's

Oakley Vent MTB Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 March 9, 2009

I ordered these as a gift for my girlfriend in the boysenberry. She loved the color and wore them a hand-full of times and the zipper started popping open. The zipper is only about 3" long so it wasn't that big of a deal to her. She wanted to keep them, but I insisted on returning them. That night, I happened to be looking at chain love on the ODAT AP on my ipod Touch. There was another pair of oakleys for about the same price($32+s/h), hopefully they have a better zipper.

Patagonia Down Vest - Men's

Patagonia Down Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 18, 2009

I got this vest in black on SAC for a killer deal. This is my first vest ever and I love it. I am a 6' tall 170lb athletic build male and the M fits me perfectly. I ordered a L first because of another review that said they run small, but had to return it. It has some space in the gut, but I think a small would have been too short as this one just covers my belt. The drawstrings allow a snug(er) fit if needed. The fleece handwarmer pockets are awesome and big enough to cover your wrists. This is perfect on those days that a long-sleeve isn't enough, but a coat is too much (40's). I'm amazed how warm it keeps me with the collar (also has cozy fleece) flipped up. The coating on the ripstop causes the water to bead right up and adds a semi-gloss sheen to the shell. All-in-all a great purchase that I would definitely buy again/recommend to a friend.

5/10 SPIRE rock shoe

Five Ten Spire Climbing Shoe - DO NOT USE

Five Ten Spire Climbing Shoe - DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 February 5, 2008

These are awesome shoes! I'm a beginning climber (only climbing for 2 mo.) and these are my first pair. I find them to be very comfortable and sticky(I climb 3-5 days a week indoors). I ordered size 13 which is the same size I wear in Puma shoes, I wear a size 12 merrell. I have fairly wide feet and they can be somewhat achy when wearing rentals and they ached after only trying on a size 46.5 mythos. I have been greatly satisfied with my purchase and decided to go with this place because of their return policy. All my local stores have a no returns after used policy. Overall I would recommend these shoes to anyone in my situation.
