Great Trail Shoe

Oboz Ignition Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Oboz Ignition Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 25, 2008

I took my pair out for a 5 mile run in the hills behind my house. I went through dirt, mud, snow, rocks, and paved roads. They handled all of them great. They were a little stiff on the paved road but chewed up the snow and cleared out the mud easily. I look forward to putting more miles in with these bad boys.

Soft Hard-core pants

Carhartt Washed-Duck Dungaree Work Dungaree Pant - Men's

Carhartt Washed-Duck Dungaree Work Dungaree Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 27, 2007

These Carhartt pants are the softest hard working pants I've slipped on in a while. While not windproof, they block the breeze well. I like them so much I bought another pair in a different color. If you want your clothes to work as hard as you do and be comfy enough to chill in, here you go.

A good cover for your melon

The North Face Softshell Windproof Beanie

The North Face Softshell Windproof Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 November 12, 2007

I wore this beanie for the first time in the mountains of Wyoming. It did a great job to keep my head warm and the wind did not penetrate. My only complaint was that the slits on the sides for sunglasses kept rubbing on my ears and was a mild irritation but I'll live with it to get the performance I get out of this beanie.

Good pants, wrong feel

Carhartt Relaxed-Fit Straight-Leg Denim Pant - Men's

Carhartt Relaxed-Fit Straight-Leg Denim Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 October 29, 2007

These pants are well made but I like a looser fit in my jeans. I traded them for the blue work pant and they were a home run.

TacTikka Plus is sweet

Petzl Tactikka Plus Headlamp

Petzl Tactikka Plus Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 October 8, 2007

I understand now why this is the favorite lamp of the military special ops teams. My first use was less than tactical as it only involved me, my bike, and my dog on a night ride. The light was plenty bright to show the hazards of the trail on a moonless night. The angle adjustment was great to put it at a good angle while strapped to my bike helmet. The brightness adjustment was handy as the light levels changed from city to country lighting. I'm hooked.

Sweet T!

Icebreaker Superfine190 Tech T - Men's

Icebreaker Superfine190 Tech T - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 10, 2007

This was my first merino shirt and I am a believer. I wore it as a daily kick around, out to dinner, and on 3 trail runs without washing it and it never got funky. Super comfy and breathable in the heat of the day and in the office A/C.
