  • Bio:

I love to play outside. The mountains keep me balanced and provide peace. Fresh snow makes me squeal with delight. I love Telemarking. It feels like driving a stick shift rather than automatic. Mountain biking is my favorite past time. Especially when the wild flowers are out & the days are long. When I am not recreating, I am playing with my gorgeous children, Sadie & Brewster.

Fat Fun Skis in Powder!

Icelantic Nomad Alpine Ski

Icelantic Nomad Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 18, 2010

I borrowed these skis from the Backcountry employee gear closet and had a BLAST on them. They were 168cm with G3 Targa Ascent bindings. I have been skiing on K2 Dawn Patrols and really enjoyed the extra width. They felt like water skis. SO fun. And I skied in about 12 inches of fresh snow and ripped every open bowl I could. Total blast. The following day when the powder wasn't as light & fluffy, they were harder to manage on the groomers in a tele turn. But if I kept them both on the snow, I was sturdy.

Zipper is less than sturdy

Marker Ltd Race Bib - Little Boys'

Marker Ltd Race Bib - Little Boys'

Rating for this product: 1 February 10, 2009

I love these ski pants for my little guy. Great style (vest as a bib) very waterproof. Perfect in many aspects. However, we just broke our second zipper. Pulled right off. No good and can not recommend these pants because what is the use if they don't zip??

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Boys'

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Boys'

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

The North Face fleece Jacket is working perfectly for what we need it for. A five year old who plays outside and rides his bike is very happy with his gift. He can wear a t-shirt or sweater underneath and is very comfortable.

The North Face Bullit Jacket - Men's

The North Face Bullit Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 July 7, 2008

This stylish jacket works well for going out. But it is not as breathable as other fabrics. More casual fashion than functional.
