LEKI Thermolite Antishock Trekking Poles - 1 Pair

How do you keep the tip/basket from falling off? Mine did without any use yet! Crazy glue? or some other adhesive, so you can replace them if they break?

Marmot CWM EQ Sleeping Bag: -40 Degree Down

February 24, 2009

A sleeping bag is only as warm as the user, and is largely determined by the loft. Down, traditionally, has offered the best warmth to weight ratio of any insulation. It's also very resiliant in that it maintains it's loft over many years, unlike synthetic. The Marmot CWM is one of the warmest sleeping bags available and you should be dying of heat at 32degrees, sweating being the biggest complaint. If your freezing in it, I would go see a doctor. It might be your hypothalamus acting up...(kidding of course). Unless there is something wrong with the bag, meaning all of the insulation at the feet has drifted elsewhere in the bag, you shouldn't be experiencing cold problems. Down drift can occur if the baffle material has been damaged or ripped. I would contact Marmot and possibly send the bag back to them for inspection...What(if any)sleeping pad are you using? The down on the bottom of the bag is compressed by your body weight and looses its insulating capability, therefore you need an insulating sleeping pad to keep you off the cold ground!

Black Diamond Push Telemark Ski Boot - Men's

February 19, 2009

Are these liners as warm as the Intuition liners in Scarpas boots. I live in a cold climate and this is an important deciding factor on which boot I will purchase. I have a pair of Spirit 4's with Intuitions and they are very warm!

Black Diamond O1 Telemark Ski Binding DO NO TUSE

October 27, 2008

Which cartridge stiffness should I choose? I am an agressive expert(moguls, couloirs, jumps and high speed ripping)190-200lbs. I ski mostly eastern resorts with the occasional trip out west seeking out the steep and deep. I plan to mount these up on a pair of 185 Havocs.

K2 Extreme Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 1 October 7, 2008

I got suckered into buying these skis back in the 80's when they were being touted as the ultimate extreme ski(for hucking cliffs, mashing moguls, shreding couloirs, etc.)with input from Scott Schmidt and Glen Plake. I can honestly say they were pretty much absolute crap! The tips delaminated within a couple of weeks and had to be returned. As for performance they pretty much had a mind of their own(this from someone who skied proffesionaly every day of the season). Bottom line, demo before you buy and never believe the hype!

Black Diamond Verdict Ski

April 16, 2008

I took my 190's through the mogul course in spring conditions and they performed flawlessly. Having said that, I am no slouch in the bumps and I can pilot most any ski well in spring corn. These skis seem to be unaffected by adverse condions, although I have yet to try them on eastern boilerplate.
