good beanie and yes LTW stands for lightweight

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Beanie

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 March 2, 2007

This is a very nice beanie. It is thin and fits snugly just like you could imagine from the picture. It's warm but obviously not as warm as a heavy fleece beanie. (previously my favorite beanie was Mountain Hardwear Micro dome, also an awesome beanie.) It fits perfect under a helmet and has a very low profile when worn alone. I have a shaved head and the Rho doesn't itch. I drive a jeep with the top off from early spring to late fall and this is going to be perfect for those cool windy drives in the early morning and late night. The only reason it's not getting a 5 is because it is a little pricey but that comes with the Arc'teryx name doesn't it? Otherwise it is a very good piece of gear. Yes it's lightweight just like advertised and just like I wanted.

Perfect Jacket

Marmot Original DriClime Windshirt - Men's

Marmot Original DriClime Windshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2007

This thing is absolutely the best jacket I have ever owned. I've worn it almost every day since I bought it a year ago. Yeah it keeps the wind off well. Put a hoody or fleece under it and now you're toasty warm down to at least freezing (and I hate the cold). wear a lightweight wicking shirt or even no shirt at all underneath and it's perfect for mountain biking and running in cold weather. It dries quick and is easy to clean. It doesn't resist rain well if it's raining and you run from the car to the store no biggie cause it dries fast but if your caught in a downpour you're gonna get a soaking. Not only does it work well but it looks great too so you can wear it just as a jacket anywhere pretty much. I couldn't give this thing any less than a 5. I highly recommend it

Awesome beanie

Mountain Hardwear Micro Dome Beanie

Mountain Hardwear Micro Dome Beanie

Rating for this product: 4 March 1, 2007

This is a very warm, very soft beanie. Feels nice on my shaved dome and fits snugly. I've had mine 2 years and it is getting warn thin. I tried on a new one and they cover the ears well but for some reason mine doesn't, I might have an old model or something. Anyway I highly recommend this hat.

Nice for light hiking and wearing around town

Lowa Tempest Lo Hiking Shoe - Mens

Lowa Tempest Lo Hiking Shoe - Mens

Rating for this product: 4 March 1, 2007

These are my everyday shoes I wear to work and they are a great comfortable shoe with a good Vibram sole. They fit well on my average feet. They would be snug on wide feet. (I have the current model) I wear them light day hiking and have mountain biked in them (I use flat pedals) Great shoes and yes they are low tops so no ankle support. I have never done any hardcore hiking so they are perfect for me. Only complaint is the round laces but thats almost any boot these days. Why in the @$&* do boot companies put thick round laces in boots that put 16 or more little 5mm bumps up the top of your foot. Come on! Anyway I put flat laces in them and now they feel great. Oh yeah now that I think about it the stock insole is just a flat piece and I had to replace that too. It's a 3 star product but with new laces and insole it goes up to like 4 and a half.
