Mountain House Chili Mac w/ Beef - 1 Serving Entree

Mountain House Chili Mac w/ Beef - 1 Serving Entree

This is without a doubt, the only lunch and dinner meal I take with me when I go hiking or camping. Here in the Northwest it's great to have a warm meal on those cold days and this hits the spot. It fills you up well and keeps you going. It's nice a compact too so it fits in a small day pack easily.

Absolutely the best.

Oakley Half Jacket XLJ Dual Replacement Lenses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 April 27, 2011

I've got a few pairs of these lenses. One regular set that came with the frames. They get the job done. The ones I really like are my polarized set. I use them for driving to cut the glare from cars and for fishing to help see better through the water, and to cut the glare. I also have a yellow pair I use for low light driving and for hiking. It's amazing the contrast they offer to help see things so much better and to pick up on movement.

Updated review on a still great pant.

The North Face Varius Guide Pant - Men's

The North Face Varius Guide Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 11, 2009

I reviewed these almost 2 years ago and I'm still wearing the exact same pair even after some tough rescues and operations, and a whole lot of playing as well. They hold up to blackberry bushes and everything else. They still keep the water out and the warmth in. I haven't bought a second pair but only because I haven't needed to. I'm wearing them in my profile picture playing in the snow.

Great all around pant

Mountain Hardwear Mesa Convertible Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Mesa Convertible Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 5, 2009

I'm going to have to get me another pair of these pants. I have had mine now for about 18 months and I still love them. They are great for hiking and I also use them on SAR missions as well. They are nice and durable and they dry fairly quickly. I'm 6' and 185 and I wear a L comfortably. My only complaint is the belt, it can be popped open a little easily. The cinch one the bottom of the pant leg is nice. I didn't think I would use these all that much but I find myself wearing them even just to go out. They are perhaps my favorite pair of pants next to my North Face Varius Guide pants but those are snow/rain pants. I wouldn't wear these in a downpour if you can help it unless you are okay being wet for a little bit.

Mountain Hardwear Mesa Convertible Pant - Men's

March 3, 2009

The pockets are about 6" x 6" and about 3/4" deep. I usually can comfortably fit my wallet and keys in here or a few Clif Bars.

Great product

Nikwax Tech Wash / TXD Wash-In Twin Pack DO NOT USE

Nikwax Tech Wash / TXD Wash-In Twin Pack DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2008

I use these on my North Face snow pants and they work great. My stuff stays waterproof. It doesn't clean all that well so I usually wash it with a bit of regular detergent and then with these but that combo seems to work well.

Nikwax Fabric and Leather Treatment

Nikwax Fabric and Leather Treatment

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2008

I use this on my REI boots. I like it except it doesn't last as long as I would like. Keep in mind I use my boots for Search and Rescue so they get a lot of use. For the average person I think it would last much longer than it does for me.

Black Diamond Momentum AL Harness

September 29, 2008

I'm actually a 34 waist and I use the XL. I could have probably gotten away with a L but I felt like when I looped the straps back over themselves, I really didn't have much to work with. The XL fits great and I can adjust it to a perfect fit.

Black Diamond Momentum AL Harness

September 29, 2008

I'm in SAR in Washington state and there are a few of us that use this exact harness. It's comfortable and light and so far pretty durable. I've used mine for about 6 months or so now and I really like it.

Great Pants

The North Face Varius Guide Pant - Men's

The North Face Varius Guide Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 7, 2007

I use these for Search and Rescue in the Northwest. We get a lot of rain and I have tromped through creeks & streams and stayed dry. The are amazingly comfortable and very durable. The sizing is a little on the large side but the adjustable waist really helps, as do the suspenders. These are a must if you plan on going out in the rain or snow.
