Marmot Midweight Zip Neck Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 March 9, 2009

Maybe it's my own body chemistry, but these smelled after an hour or two of old-lady skiing. I loved the similar Marmot ones I ordered a few years ago - that fabric could go days without smelling bad - but the material in this version didn't work for me. Got two, returning both. Love Backcountry, however. It guarantees its products, so it's taking them back even tho I ordered them several months ago. Only got to use them recently.

Oakley Air Jacket - Women's

Oakley Air Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 6, 2007

I wanted an alternative to my other, basic black, primaloft-type jacket.I got the Oakley in bright pink. So far I've worn it mostly as an outside layer because the weather hasn't been real cold, but once as an inside layer under a down jacket. It fits well, looks nice, blocks the wind, and seems warm. That's just what I wanted in a jacket.

Cold hands

Scott Locket Glove - Women's

Scott Locket Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 February 6, 2007

I wore these gloves x-country skiing in moderate temperatures (high teens) and my hands got really cold. There is a pocket for a chemical warmer, and I didn't use that, but the pocket is on the back of the hand and it was my fingers that got coldest. I sent the gloves back.
