Maybe I'm Crazy...

Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ Sunglasses

Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 3 December 28, 2009

I have an older pair of regular Flak Jackets and just bought the XLJ's off SAC. To me they seem cheaply made compared to the year and 1/2 old ones I have. Don't get me wrong, I love Oakleys and I am keeping them (especially at the SAC price), I just think my older ones are made better or out of better material. Perhaps I am crazy and they are just as strong just lighter...

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

I used this pad in patagonia and also in Peru. It was excellent. Kept me warm and also let me get a good nights sleep even though I was in rock field on the side of a mountain. Well worth the money. Get the stuff sack for it too.

Backcountry.com Merino Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Merino Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

excellent, excellent shirt. performed great on a 3 day hike in patagonia and did equally well while hiking in Peru. Kept me warm, but not too warm, and dry. It didn't even stink when I was done (like everything else I was wearing). Wish the price was a little lower. Also, this shirt did not itch at all and I usually have a real bad time with wool.

The North Face Windwall 2 Jacket - Men's

The North Face Windwall 2 Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 15, 2007

the jacket is a bit on the pricey side but that seems to be the case with all the North Face gear. it works well, and it is really comfortable with the fleece on the inside. it keeps me warm even when it gets wet and it does a pretty good job stopping the wind. i'm glad i got it.
