The North Face Mossbud 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

The North Face Mossbud 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

Bought one for myself in November and fell in love with it. Its sooo soft that people will want to "pet you". Its also very warm, probably the warmest shirt I own. My boyfriend bought me another one in a different color for Christmas and I ended up buying one for my mom for her birthday. I usually wear a medium or large because I like a little room and I ended up going with a large in this. My mom is usually a medium and also preferred the large.

Very durable but too short

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Hooded Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 October 17, 2008

This jacket is tough and durable. I got a lot of use out of it in spring, fall and winter in Colorado's high country. Unfortunately I found that it was a bit too short and often got bunched up under my pack in the back and made me chilly (I don't have an especially long torso either). Eventually it annoyed me enough that I stopped wearing it.

Don't glissade in these!

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Pant - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 1 October 17, 2008

I owned the MH Synchro jacket and was pretty happy with it so I decided to try out the pants. They fit reasonably well and I was happy with them the first few times I wore them. Then I glissaded down about 1000 feet of soft (not hard or icy) snow and the material on the butt rubbed off completely. The pants were black and after that the butt was white! I had to return them.

Favorite shoes in quite a while!

Salomon XT Wings WP Shoe - Women's

Salomon XT Wings WP Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2008

I bought these shoes for hiking - mostly off trail over talus, scree, and lots of scrambling. My feet are my weakest link (I overpronate) and I found these shoes to be SUPER comfortable (I use them with my orthotics). LOTS of cushioning. I first bought the non-waterproof version and they were very good also, but the waterproof version is actually made out of more substantial material (not mesh) and it works much better for protecting your feet against shifting rocks, etc. I highly recommend these shoes.
