Great all round binding

Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Binding

Salomon Z12 Ti Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2011

I have been skiing these almost exclusively for the past 6 years. Very predictable performance. Never any pre-release issues. Nice light weight binding that does not sacrifice performance. Lots of deep powder days here in Utah and never problems with releasing in deep snow.

Great boots

Black Diamond Prime Alpine Touring Boot - Men's

Black Diamond Prime Alpine Touring Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 27, 2010

Finally time to right up a review. I have had 3 days now touring in the BD Primes. I am very pleased with the performance and fit of these boots. Took a bit of work to really dial in the size/fit but was lucky to have BD headquarters and store here in Utah to help out. I would recommend that you work with a very good boot fitter to make sure you sizing is correct and to assist in heat molding the liner. The staff at BD took the time to get the exact fit. I was sizing between a 27,5 and 28. With the recommendation of BD, I went with the 27.5. BD did some work on the right boot to add some room in the toe box. In addition to the proper heat mold of the liner and a few days of skiing, the boot is fitting really well and is very comfortable touring.
Great consistent flex, great performance.

Black Diamond Prime Alpine Touring Boot - Men's

November 6, 2010

For Ada's question. The Dyanfit ZZero 4s' had a very good fit/comfort and uphill performance. They were very nice boots but were a bit stiff for my taste. The Primes have a great fit(I did need to size the Bds' 1/2 size up). They are very comfortable and tour great. I think the flex of the Primes is perfect for my taste.

Black Diamond Prime Alpine Touring Boot - Men's

November 1, 2010

I just took my Primes out for a brief tour here in Little Cottonwood Canyon. My foot is average width, high instep, skinny ankles. Great fit in the ankle, and arch. I am thinking I may have bought the boot 1/2 size to small as the boot was very very tight in the toe box. I decided to go with a 27.5 with room to break them in but may have to see if I can trade them out for a 28. I should also add that the boots ski very nice.

Dynafit Titan TF-X Ski Boot - Men's

October 1, 2010

ZZues or Titan? I am trying to narrow down which of these will be my choice. Will do 80% lift skiing, 20% AT. Want a great downhill boot with some features for quick hikes off the resort. Anyone have any opinions?

Scarpa F3 Alpine Touring Boot

February 23, 2010

I bought a pair this season. I would agree, medium width, however, I have skinny ankles and find it difficult to get a comfortable snug fit from the ankle up. As for the stiffness, my opinion is that these are more like a 110.

Great Binding

Dynafit TLT Vertical ST Alpine Touring Binding

Dynafit TLT Vertical ST Alpine Touring Binding

Rating for this product: 5 April 1, 2009

Made the change this season from tele to Dynafit for backcountry skiing. These bindings are excellent.
The engineering is a work of art. Very easy to use, super lite weight great control, climbing is very natural. The manual is a little difficult so best to get some hints from someone with some experience.

Dynafit ZZero 4 C-TF Alpine Touring Boot

Rating for this product: 5 March 27, 2009

Just finishing up my first season with these. Great boots, I was concerned that the light weight would mean soft flex. These boots are super stiff. I would actually be fine with a softer version. I ski these in the "walk" mode as this gives more flex. Overall great boot if you are looking for super stiff this the the model, if you want softer flex choose the other Dynafit models.

Dynafit TLT Vertical ST Alpine Touring Binding

January 27, 2009

I have just bought the TLT and Manaslu for exclusive backcountry skiing. However I was wondering if the TLT has similar release functions as a normal downhill binding? I am thinking this set up would be great for some lift skiing but wondered if the binding has comparable release functions.

Excellent Backcountry Ski

Dynafit Manaslu Ski

Dynafit Manaslu Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2009

Just had my first day touring the Utah backcountry with the Manaslus. These are excellent touring skis, very light, great turns in deep pow. We also ran into some firm wind blown areas, and the skis worked great.
The set up with Dynafit bindings is perfect for big touring days.

How do these attach at the tip, from the pic there seems to be some "key" type to pull them on, If this is lost, anyway to replace?
