A very light weight water repellent jacket. A good value. Tends to run small so move up a size if you can.
Could use more pockets. Only two useable pockets in the shell.
Pertex is a light weight water repellent material that stretches when you move.
Find a sale and pick one up. Don't pay more than $110.

For me it is too tailored for having any type of layering. Pockets could be a little larger and better designed.
A nice jacket if the above could be redesigned for next year. For this year I will go with Marmot and Mountain Hardwear.

Sleeves are long but OK if you are 5'10" or taller.

For going down town this jacket will do fine and is fashionable. Colors are a bit overdone.
Functionally this jacket is limited as far as layering and the flare one the bottom is overexaggerated.
For excellent choices on down jackets/sweaters check out Patagonia/ Mountain Hardwear etc. They pride themselves in functionality.

Not water resistant but makes a great layering piece under a waterproof shell. Very light weight and a good buy.

Great for wearing around the cabin or down in the village. Not waterproof but a great jacket on a cold night. Made for the relaxing times.

I would not recommend this jacket if you are after a light weight shell.
It is fairly heavy.
The back length could be longer. Too short for some layering items.
They stick out and get wet.
Construction is adequate.
Hood is not removable which is a drawback.

First of all the Tremor runs small. Size up at least one size and maybe too to accomodate for a severe athletic fit.
The Jacket looks great yet lacks alot of the bells and whistles OR is known for.
The main zipper is not a two way which is a major limitation. The pit zips do not go all the way to the hem like they do on almost all OR's other jackets.
A great coat if it cost you less than a C note.
I still love OR products for their quality.

Be sure you order a size smaller and if you are 5'8" get the 30" inseam.
Great construction and the pant legs are not tapered so you won't look like the typical dork wearing convertible pants.
Also consumer service at Columbia is all but lacking no matter what they claim. You have a problem with their product and they seem to have many reasons not to rectify it.

Looks nice. The problem is it is too wide and too short so it looks like you are wearing a good looking box with a hood.
The box does repel water very nicely and comes is some sexy colors.
I would choose a furio before the Mithril for any backpacking venture. Mithril is for around town. Too bad they don't make them in a Tall.

It runs very small and the material is poor quality.
Save your money and get something more comfy , say made of burlap.

The material is not comfortable. Must be really bad when you are sweating. It looks dorky too.
Go buy something better, say at Good Will.

If you like Columbia's Venture series then you will be sorely disappointed in this.
It runs small, the legs look tapered and the material of of poor quality.
If you know someone you don't like then buy them a pair of these.

It may look nice but it has some major limitations.
The sleeves are too tight. Layering is almost out of the question. The jacket sleeves drag you shirt sleeves up you arm into a knot making it very uncomfortable.
You have to get a size larger to have it fit in the chest.
Quality is O.K. but nothing compared to Outdoor Research products.
Marmots descriptions of their products is often inaccurate, stating it has pockets that is, in reality , doesn't. And their customer service in a laugh.

I have owned all the major brands of hiking shoes and Keen Targhee II are my favorites. Whether backpacking for the weekend or a mild 3 mile walk around town.
Truly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

My favorite shoes are the Keen Targhee II. The Blackcomb boots are just like Targhee II's but in a winter version. A joy to wear and the mid height is just right for the snow. Warmth is more than adequate for winter conditions

The Radar pocket cap is the most useful hat I have ever owned. Sprayed to repel water makes it a hat for all seasons and never a bother.
