I was the one who asked the question about this tank looking as if it were tight at the rib cage. I had ordered a size Medium. Well, I slept on the decision to keep it, but I ultimately sent it back not because of the fitted look, but because the darts on the front were very pointy and when I leaned forward, there was a direct view of the good stuff being held up in the halter. He he. But, I will say that this tank's material felt really soft, had a neat earthy design, had a flattering cut to it, and it was overall a pretty cool halter tank top if you have the good stuff to fill it. :P

This shirt is really great! I ordered a Size medium in the blueberry. It's super soft and it's fitted! I'm 5'3" and it's a perfect fit. I'd recommend if you are busty or are taller to get a bigger size, though. But, I absolutely love how soft this material is--seriously! The cat even kneads on it!!!

Horny Toad does a good job of using cool materials for their clothing. I ordered this tank in a size medium. It was a good fit for a 5'3" frame, but I'm not that busty, so the upper part was flat on me and that part did not look that good. I really did like the criss-cross straps in the back, though. I really wanted this tank to work for me because it was so light and airy and the design and color were cool, but I ended up sending it back. Bummer.

I have a hard time finding Mountain Hardware clothing to actually fit a woman's body. The sizing is always a little off. The smalls are really small and the mediums seem to be too big. I liked the design of this shirt, so I thought I'd give MH another try. I'm glad I did. I ordered a medium and I finally got a medium size. This is a light shirt that is great for the casual times. The color is a heathered (the photos here look as if it's a solid color). The sleeves are sort of a cap sleeve. I guess the only thing I found to be bothersome on this shirt is the serged stitching that is on the underside of the sleeve-it rubs my armpit sometimes, but it doesn't happen a lot so it's not that big of a deal. I like the graphic and I think this shirt is cute.

I really, really like this shirt in Bougainvillea/Cocoa. I really like how light this shirt is. The sleeves and front are not gappy. Unfortunately, I ordered a small (for a 5'3" frame) and it's just a little tight. When I checked to get a medium a few days later, it was sold out. So, if anyone is returning a medium, please send me a message!

I ordered the Parlor Red color. I think this tank has a cool color, look, and the fabric is very light and has the wick capability. I'm 5'3" and usually wear medium size. That's what I ordered. Bummer, but this tank fit me as if it were an XL. The shelf bra was baggy and the sides were loose--there was nothing flattering about this tank on me. I recommend ordering a smaller size.

This is the first down vest I've bought. Got this in Nov. '08 based on a recommendation online. I do not regret it. I was originally looking at the Cloudveil Inversion vest, but I was worried that my curves would interfere with the cut of the vest. I went to my local outdoor store to try down vests on. They had the Downtown Down and I was hooked when I tried it on. It is extremely lightweight, surprisingly room inside-not crushing the upper chest, and not marshmellow-y puffy. The side cinch cords can easily tailor the waist and I like that the armholes were a little higher--no gapping. The neck can be zipped up tight around your face and along the inside is a softer velour fleece so there is no scratching. This vest is also longer, so it doesn't ride up in the back. I'm 5'3" and I love it! I even wear this vest indoors! I like the stuff sack for easy carrying on the go. The ONLY gripe I have about this vest is that it only came in 3 colors (2 dark, 1 white) this year! I bought a medium white and am trying not get it dirty. However, I still love it!

This shirt is really unique. It's extremely lightweight. The buttons look as if they could gap open, but there is a privacy panel behind them. I bought this shirt for summer and can't wait to wear it. I bought sarsparilla in a size 6, based on the size chart, but it was too small. Size 8 is better for a 5'3" frame. Watch the sizing for Mtn. Hardware. If it looks as if you wear a size small and you normally wear a size medium, go with the medium. Save the shipping return charge. I think this shirt is really cool!!!

I purchased the Moonlight Ivory, size Medium. I love that it's windproof and it's also quite warm, even wearing a long-sleeved thermal shirt underneath indoors. I could wear a size Small, but it was too tight across the chest so the Medium is a little roomy. The sides cinch so I can get a more tailored look. I went to my local sports store and was looking at TNF Mossbud fleece vest and the Isis Sultana vest before I chose TNF Windwall (online prices here were cheaper than local stores, plus I had a 20% off coupon). The Mossbud was strictly a fleece vest and I didn't think it would provide enough warmth, but the fleece was so soft and the cut was very flattering to women's figures. The Sultana had a cool quilted pattern, but was short and I really didn't like that the top did not fold down (underneath my chin), even when unzipped. I like the option of zipping up past my chin, but not if I wear the vest casual. I think that the Windwall is plenty long enough for me. No worries about that. That's how I chose the Windwall. Warm, sturdy, side cinches, windproof, nice outdoorsy look. I'll have to write more later about the white color and see if I agree with 8/20/08 reviewer about the dirt.

I love the soft, form-fitting waffle knit. Sizing standard. Shirt does cover the top of pants. Scoop neckline very flattering. I wear this shirt underneath a fleece vest and by itself. Recommend this because it's functional and affordable!

I bought Lemongrass in Size Medium. Size chart said I'd fit a Small, but Medium is perfect. I've encountered Mtn. Hardware sizes and I'd say go with what you normally wear. This company sizes run small in women's shirts. Cool cut on the top of shirt. Cotton is soft and lightweight. Sleeves are long, I have to roll mine up. Doesn't warrant a return for me, though. I still like it.

Got Earthen in size Medium. Size chart said I'd fit a Small, but I have encountered Mtn. Hardware shirts before and I'd say the women's sizes run small. Go with what you normally wear. I really did like this shirt. Pros: soft, had some weight to it, cool design and color. Cons: sleeves long as well as the shirt itself. I'm 5'3" and normal in size, but the shirt went way down past my hips and covered my entire behind. Too much material for me. Perhaps a taller person would benefit more from this shirt. Unfortunately, I returned it.

I bought my Niobe down jacket Feb. '06 after a friend of mine recommended it to me because I was not staying warm enough. I live in Montana and it's crucial to have a warm jacket, sometimes 6-9 months out of the year. This is my first down jacket. I'm still wearing it in '08! I did try on sizes at my local sports store, but bought online cuz it was cheaper. I am 5'3" tall and normal in size. This coat is so tailored to a T to a woman's body! The sleeves do not ride up at all--and you can velcro them shut around your wrists even. The back is long enough and does not ride up. The sides are tailor fitted and on the inside bottom there are cinches so you can close the bottom up. I love the inside deep pockets. It's puffy, but not as puffy as TNF down jackets and I can even wear a a few layers (even a sweater) without feeling constricted. I do not overheat AT ALL, even when I wear it indoors for awhile. I tried Mtn. Hardware Phantom jacket at the same time and did not like how thin it felt, how transparent the material was, and how short is was in the back. However, I do not need my jacket to be super lightweight and things may have changed since '06. I highly recommend this jacket or even the vest! It's such a great deal for the price.
