Nice Coat - too short

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 March 4, 2006

The Phantom jacket is light, although it is not a pliable/compressible as I expected – stiffness in the arms in particular. The jacket is tapered nicely so that it keeps the draft out from under your back, unlike some coats that are way too lose and send in a gush of cold air every time you bend over. I ended up returning the XL because it was way to short at the waist; sleeves fit fine - I am 6’1”.

Great Pants - Nice Color

Marmot Cargo Pant - Men's

Marmot Cargo Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2006

These pants are extremely comfortable and don’t pull at the hips (i.e. North Face gear). Marmot also took the “bubble butt” out that characterized most of their pants in years past. I plan to wear with down insulation during cold weather (-20 to 35F) and fleece when warmer. They have a nice array of pockets that fit naturally – some can be used with gloves. The pants also have some nice extras the cheapies leave out, like clips to hold your down insulating pants in place, and zippered openings.

Lightweight for the thickness and durability.
