The North Face Ultra 103 XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

The North Face Ultra 103 XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 13, 2006

I purchased this shoe for a trip to Panama. We hiked through jungle, trails, and city streets. There was rain, mud to wallow in, and rivers to cross. The shoes never let me down. These are absolutely the best I have ever owned, and the sizing was as advertised.

Not on par with the shoe

The North Face Winter Gaiter GTX

The North Face Winter Gaiter GTX

Rating for this product: 3 February 13, 2006

The gaiters are a great idea, but they don't fit right. They are ideal for trails with water and even wet grass or foliage, but they don't fit tight enough around the back to keep mud and muck out. If the elastic that the gaiters hook into would have recessed areas it would be easier to attach them without having to stand on your head to get the right angle with 3 Gs of force to get them on. Great idea, but could be improved.
