Rossignol S110 Ski - Women's
December 13, 2010
My husband (whatta guy! ; ) bought these for my birthday/Xmas present to tele on. Skied them for the first time over the weekend in 12-16" powder and couldn't keep the smile off my face! SO floaty, SO fun, and could still turn them just fine on the moguls and groomers due to the ample sidecut and skinny tails that make pivoting easier. HUGE shovel and soft tails/tips but stiffness underfoot keep you floating through pow and agressively plowing through variable condition snow. Was glad for the stiffness of the Hammerhead binding to go with it, and may have to think about a stiffer 4 buckle boot too. The only possible drawback is they are heavier than most tele-specific/backcountry skis, and I probably wouldn't chose them for touring (over other skis I already own). Had to work pretty hard skating around on the cat tracks. I'm 5'6" 135 lbs and think the 168 is the perfect length for me.
All and all, a fantastic ski and beautiful to boot! Fabulous!
