Yakima overload!

Yakima LoadWarrior

Yakima LoadWarrior

Rating for this product: 5 July 13, 2004

Anyone considering a cargo basket please look no further than a LoadWarrior. Yakima is very conservative with their load capacity ratings. I actually mis-read my Volvo's roof rack load rating at 300lbs. when in fact it was actually only 200lbs. I travelled over 3000 miles around Arizona, Nevada, California with roughly 280lbs of gear on the Yakima low profile racks, LoadWarrior, extension, & stretch net. I had no problems except for overhead clearance issues in drive-thru restaraunts and underground parking structures. Of course this is mainly because I overloaded the basket. Upon my departure, I along with many of my neighbors expressed concern that either my rack or my car would surely break. I am here to say that I travelled through curvy mountain roads, windy overpasses, and average highway speeds of 75 MPH with no issues whatsoever. Yakima's cargo basket will satisfy virtually any roof load demand on small to mid size SUV's. I can only imagine that the larger mega-warrior would be great for the larger SUV's.
