As long as I can remember winter has been my passion. Whether it was sledding on my grandparents mole hills in Wisconsin or taking my first ride on a Poma lift at Nordic Mountain I've always wanted to slide or play in the snow.
During my youth I skied some in central Wisconsin and Da U.P. on hills that were pretty much ice. As they say, if you can ski the ice you can ski anything. When storms came through I was usually the only one out there trying to shred the new pow.
I went to college in LaCrosse where we were lucky enough to have a local ski hill. Most of my nights that I should have been studying were spent there having fun skiing instead.
I was invited on my first trip "out west" by some friends and continued on every year during winter break and sometimes spring break to go to Steamboat, Summit County, Aspen area, Winter Park with friends from the ski club.
I took a job in 1995 in Boise and have been having fun in the mountains ever since.
