Sweet Touring Pole

Indigo Equipment Epic Ski Pole

Indigo Equipment Epic Ski Pole

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2003

I like this pole. I love the grip it is super comfortable and the strap is a breakaway strap that won't breakdown like other models. It's very easy to adjust with gloves on and the price is right on. If you like to tour you should get a pair of these they will make length ajustments on the move easy.

It doesn't Stink

Icebreaker BodyFit260 Long Sleeve Crew - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit260 Long Sleeve Crew - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2003

I had to try wool because I stink. And this stuff didn't stink after a week of backcountry touring this stuff didn't stink. It wasn't scratchy like a wool sweater. And it didn't stink. I take this piece when I travel now because I can hang it outside to air out and then wear it the next day. IT DOESN'T STINK!!
Finally.

Icebreaker Bodyfit Tech Top - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 October 22, 2003

I bought the Body Fit piece and I wanted another with a zipper. This stuff goes everywhere with me. It travels, tours, bikes, hikes, skis everything. If you have odor and you are tired of it get this piece. Merino wool rules and it doens't stink.

Too much fun

Burton Junkyard Snowdeck

Burton Junkyard Snowdeck

Rating for this product: 5 September 23, 2003

I had to get one of these. I figured it would be less painful than taking up skateboarding. I had a blast last winter. I live in an area where they don't plow the roads and they get packed down. The Junkyard was a great way to play on those roads. I learned how to turn on it right away and it does carve. The grip on the deck is sweet. I got a pair of the Salomon Snowpros to use and my feet board connection was solid. This is a must have if you live where winter lives.

Better than the Salomon Pocket Rocket

Black Diamond Havoc Telemark Ski

Black Diamond Havoc Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 September 23, 2003

If you have telemarked on the Pocket Rocket and got your but kicked on the hard pack buy the Havoc. This baby takes on hardpack without flinching and kills it. This ski rules. I am retiring the Pocket Rockets and getting a pair of these instead.

Rocket Ships of Life

Atomic SX 11 Alpine Ski

Atomic SX 11 Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 September 5, 2003

I got a chance to demo these last year and I couldn't help write a review for them. The SX11 is insane. I could carve it like no other. I pushed it and pushed it and it responded to everything in every condition. I actually was able to carve a 360 on these...yeah on the ground...not in the air. If you like to turn and ski aggressive these are for you.

Patrol Glove: You need this one

Black Diamond Patrol Glove

Black Diamond Patrol Glove

Rating for this product: 5 September 1, 2003

I gotta tell you I have cold hands when I backcountry ski, I use the Black Diamond Guide Glove because it's the warmest...sometimes too warm. This Patrol glove rocks. It's very warm for it's weight and size. I think the dexterity of the Patrol actually helped to keep my fingers warm. I like the leather super soft and tough. The black patches are great for wiping off miscellaneous liquids from your face. Since I've gotten this glove I use it everyday. I would say this is a must have.

Suunto Advizor Watch

Suunto Advizor Watch

Rating for this product: 5 August 29, 2003

I still think this is the best watch in the lineup. I like the heart rate monitor but the best feature is that you can check your vertical ascent and descent while you are still doing it.

Awesome School/Gym Pack

The North Face Torrent Backpack - 1850 cu in

The North Face Torrent Backpack - 1850 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 July 28, 2003

This pack is the sickest school pack ever. I can carry my books and my gym clothes. There are so many pockets to keep organized. But the coolest feature is the gym clothes pocket. I can throw my stinky stuff in there and it won't contaminate the rest of the pack. And on top of that there is a vent on that pocket to get air into my gym clothes and get them dry. If you are looking for a daypack that does it all this is the one. The Torrent is the best.

Nixon Rocker Watch - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 24, 2003

This watch is bad as in good. I wear it at work where I sit at a computer all day. I moved it from my left wrist to my right wrist to give me some support when I'm moving the mouse. It actually gives my wrist support and it feels better. I love this watch it's super cool and a great price. It rocks!

Best Everything Pack

Kelty Blanca Backpack - 2000cu in

Kelty Blanca Backpack - 2000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 July 14, 2003

This pack is so sweet. It has so many pockets. I use it for the gym, going to trade shows and day hikes. I love the sunglass pocket and the change pocket. Not to mention all the stash pockets on the outside. I carry so many different things in the Blanca it's crazy. The hideaway waist belt is key for traveling through airports as well. The best feature is the Source Reservoir. I've owned a Camelbak for years and I always thought the water tasted funny. That's because those reservoirs suck. I kept the same water in the Source for a week. It heated up and cooled down. I was in a pinch and needed water and it tasted great. Source rules. The Blanca rules. From what I can tell this is the best value going.

Great Pack for all things

The North Face Slingshot Backpack - 2000cu in

The North Face Slingshot Backpack - 2000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 July 2, 2003

I used this pack to go to the Bahamas. I didn't need much so this pack had plenty of room. The one thing I did need was water. The water pockets on the sides held two water bottles per side, first pack I've ever seen do that. I loved the bungee cord on the back to keep my wet stuff and the organizer pocket up kept my passport, wallet, keys etc totally organized. This pack will be great for dayhikes as well. I love the look of it as well.

The North Face Stamina 70 Backpack - 5000 cu in - 2003

The North Face Stamina 70 Backpack - 5000 cu in - 2003

Rating for this product: 5 June 25, 2003

This pack has every feature I've ever wanted in a pack. I used the rain cover when it rained and I didn't have to spend an extra $30 bucks to get it. I used the removable summit pack to bag a peak while I was on the trail. It sure was easy to do everything I wanted to do without having to bring more or buy more stuff. The X-suspension moved with my body and was so comfy. If you want a super comfy pack with tons of features this is the one.

The North Face Bilayer Jacket - Mens

The North Face Bilayer Jacket - Mens

Rating for this product: 5 June 13, 2003

I have been wanting a wind jacket for some time and I kept looking at the Marmot Driclime, but I didn't want to spend $100. So I bought the TNF Bilayer. I like the look better than the Driclime. I feel I can work this jacket anywhere not just for activities. I also like the two hand pockets and the drawcords on the bottom. This jacket is way more jacket for less money. I wear it all the time.
