Arc'teryx Gamma SV Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 4, 2005

I just bought this jacket and it kicked butt in some nasty weather. It is worth every penny of its price. I was up at Mammoth Lakes, CA and this jacket stood up to temps in the low 20s and winds that were howling at 40mph-plus. The wind couldn't touch me—I felt invisible to the weather. With a long-sleeve shirt underneath this, I was good to go on the long 4 mile trek to the top of Mammoth Mountain, at 11,000ft. The winds were blowing so hard that it was difficult to stand up and walk a straight line. But was I cold? Nope. Great jacket, a bit pricey but worth every single cent. I'm considering buying another one. BTW, I love the lifetime warranty!!

Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet

Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2005

This helmet is bad ass! It's not only light, but it keeps your head and ears warm. In addition, the audio is sweet. Way better than headphones, these audio pads give you great sound. Now you have a chance to have your own soundtrack as you bomb down the mountain! I think it looks way cooler than the Protec Freeride (my previous helmet).

Blizzard

Spy Blizzard Goggles

Spy Blizzard Goggles

Rating for this product: 4 January 26, 2005

I haven't had any problems with these goggles at all. Sure they get a bit steamy but the vents air them out in no time. The only bad thing I have experienced is that it is really hard to find replacement lenses for these. I bought them with the rose lenses but unless it's a cloudy snowy day, they are too bright. And I can't seem to find sunny day lenses. Other than that, they are great goggles for snowboarders with smaller faces. They work well with helmets too.
