Yo! My name is Jason Wagner and I am the Webmaster and Team Manager of RoundtopRiders.com. I talked with a few of the guys and together we were able to put together this bio of our team. Hope it helps you learn more about us.

How did you guys meet?
Some of us knew each other from Highschool, but we all met each other at the resort.
When did you start filming and what lead you to create RoundtopRiders?
We originally started about 3 years ago under the name "Option 5 Team". It was a group of 5 good friends who all loved to ski and film! Take that, and combine it with my love for designing websites and we had a solid site. The team grew and more people from Roundtop started to notice. This past season we decided to change the name to RoundtopRiders.com and give the site more focus on Roundtop. Kinda like the sick park and pipe website that we never had. Anyways, so we hyped it like crazy in the fall at some pre-season jams and all over NS. We continued to film and put up as much content as humanly possible. Our goal was always to keep the content fresh and I think that could be attributed to our success.
Do you guys travel much? What was one of your most fun or epic days as a crew?
We all travel a decent amount each season. Since our team is pretty large, we usually travel together in smaller groups. This works out good because it gives us a chance to visit so many more resorts across the country. My favorite trip of the season, and probably Ben’s as well, was heading out to Utah for a few days. We got to hang out with Stepp and Wallisch and shred some of the best snow on Earth! A few guys traveled up to Stratton, VT for a few days and some other guys headed out to Mount High, CA. Everybody seemed to have a sick year of traveling this season.
Corn or Powder?
Powder? Huh? It’s too bad the East Coast doesn’t get more of that stuff because we all love it! I think it’s safe to say that everyone of us would rather shred some waste deep pow than ride park. But, the fact of the matter is, we just don’t get the opportunity. So, we have to make due with what we’ve got. We all love and ride park because it’s what we’ve got! The RoundtopRiders tend to be better with the rails and boxes than big kickers. Sick jumps tend to be a rare occurrence in the area, so if you are wondering why everybody slays rails, that’s your answer. I’m going to have to go Park on this one.
What advice do you have to younger athletes?
We love new young talent! Our sport is so physically demanding, that you can’t rip this hard forever. Eventually it starts to take a toll on your body and you’re just not as good as you used to be. So, it’s extremely important to teach the young guys and girls the tricks of the trade. To younger athletes… I would say, just keep ripping and try to learn as much as possible when you’re young. Now is the time to learn and go big.
Favorite terrain park?
Humm.. locally I’d have to say Big Boulder Park in the Poconos, PA. Boulder is a small hill nested in the “mountains” of Pennsylvania. They are really pushing the park and pipe scene and are committed to turning their entire mountain into a Terrain Park. They have like 3 or 4 parks right now with jumps and rails scattered all over. This place is truly sick. On a national level, I’d say the obvious parks.. Park City, Mammoth, Breckenridge, and Stratton. There is a reason why these parks are the best in the nation…
