Julian Carr
Julian Carr, quite simply, drops the biggest cliffs ever caught on film. Cliffs that still put a pit in your stomach after the fourth or fifth time you’ve rewound the clip and watched a 29-year-old, 170-pound human sirloin from Salt Lake City fall hundreds of feet through the air into the snow below. This alone should be enough to score a place on the Backcountry team, but we like Julian for another reason: he’s way more than just a crash test dummy. It’s one thing to launch one’s meat off massive rock faces in search of fame and fortune; it’s another thing entirely to compete in freeskiing tournaments, star in movies, write poetry and magazine features, and live a generally awesome life in addition to your record-setting, cliff-hucking hobby. Julian’s a multi-talented guy who would clearly make it in this industry even without his addiction to lunatic air. We’re just lucky he’s got a screw loose, ‘cause we love to watch him do his thing
Julian Carr will talk to you calmly about snowpack, weight distribution, terminal velocity and angle of impact, and for a moment, you will actually believe he is not certifiably insane. However, the moment you see how he is applying this science, you will likely wonder two things:
1) How did he escape from his straitjacket, and
2) Who gave him a pair of skis?

| RE-Stealth 10-17-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| These gloves are warm and flex well and retain shape and snugness. The cuff on the glove is protected with leather trim with the cuff being internal - really cool. Plus the colors available are quite original. |

| STZ 11-21-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| This ski is the best. It is playful enough to pump and get little airs off bumps in the fluff, then they are like a cadillac and bulldoze your path through the chop. Then, obviously, they ski powder like Jordan knocking down free throws - such ease. This ski truly skis for you and makes you a better skier. |

| Revy Jacket 11-21-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| This jacket is really warm on the cold days with a decent layer underneath, and it is perfect on a warm spring day with a t-shirt underneath - not that many jackets can do that. Lots of pockets that don't seem attention needy. And a perfect collar that you can nestle your chin in on the cold days. I like this jacket in White. |

| Deck Pant 11-21-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| These pants just have a nice fit. They have adjustable sizing, so if you have small/wide hips you can get them not to sinch, but to fit right. Good pockets and good ventilation. I like these pants in Bison color. |

| I/O goggs 11-21-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| These goggs make you feel like you a savvy F16 jet fighter. Your range of sight is better than any goggle, the ease of changing out your lenses is no longer a frustration, and you get to pretend you are flying an F16 or a single prop plane from the 40's - your choice. |

| LowRider 11-21-07 |
Julian Carr: |
| Description: These headphones are great for skiing, traveling, and even going to the gym (if you don't do tons of cardio - just blast the quads). They are lightweight and they fold up to fit in the palm of your hand when you need to stash them in your carry on when you fly. And the sound is quality. You'll be bumping. |
