I ended up using these boots almost everyday for about a year and a half and summited 20 14ers without any problems. They kept my feet dry and comfortable on steep terrain for long hours. The soles did crack at the ball of the foot but not before I felt I got a significant amount of mileage. Overall, they are a great GTX boot for a reasonable price. I am about to buy my second pair.
