Ranked #484 - 3-Season Tents

This was my first trip out with this tent. As others have said, this tent is nearly bomb-proof. It is on the heavy side, but it is a very sturdy design. The zip in panels make it very versitile. Having two doors and two vestibules makes things nice also - more room to store things and you can get out of the wind a little better putting stuff on one side. For a solo tent it is great, for two people it would be a bit tight but doable. The night this picture was taken the winds reached hurricane force on the ridge by daybreak. The two main tent poles flexed a bit but the tent stayed up. I just had the tent tied down with the main anchor points - with rocks as anchors as you see in the picture (no way to pound the stakes in to the rock!). Overall it is a very versitile tent. If you can suck up the extra weight it will be a very nice year-round tent. Enjoy! I will give my buddy Dave credit for the picture - thanks!
