I love this jacket, but I thought I'd give everyone a heads up that it's made in China, NOT Canada

since when was anything good made in canada? everything from apple to nike is made in china. sure the idea was born in canada but the execution is best in china, as usual.

Great jacket, yes, but sad that they conformed to this outsourcing movement!

Alot of the Proshells and the harnesses are made in Canada still. Keep in mind that the factory in China is OWNED by Arcteryx. You wont find this with ANY other outdoor clothing manufacturer

The point is not that the quality degrades when you outsource. Costs are cut in half when you ship the factory out to China, yet Arc'teryx still charges outrageous prices as if they are paying Canadian wages. They follow SA8000 standards which means they pay at least minimum wage; minimum wage in China comes out to about $896 a year- They could barely afford an Alpha LT with that.
