Galactic jacket in action

Ranked #12 - Men's Ski Jackets

I have tried on many technical shells in my time. If you are looking for style, quality, and durability, this jacket takes the cake. The galactic pattern is one of the coolest, eye catching patterns I have seen. Most importantly, whether it's snowing or raining, you can count on the eVENT membrane to keep you bone dry.

Exactly. Layering is key with this jacket. It blocks wind extremely well, so if you have on the right layer/s underneath you will always stay warm.

Like how many? seems if i do too many there will be no venting and a waste of money on some sick tech. Can i get away with a wool 260 icebreaker top and bottom with jacket shell and pant? Just the two together...

Just trying to size myself out to get this jacket. I am wondering what size jacket you have and your height? I am 5'9" and was thinking a large, would that be too big?

for layering, it depends on the temperature really. Sometimes I would just wear a t-shirt underneath and be fine. On the coldest days I would wear a base layer and a fleece. Its only a waste of money if you DON't wear the right stuff underneath. That means wearing breathable layers, NO COTTON. Choose your layers wisely. Klye, Im 6' and I wear the XXL. I don't think a large would be too big for you. It depends on if you like a baggy or tight fit.
