YAKTRAX Yaktrax Heat Adjustable Insole

We have a huge warehouse staff here at Backcountry.com who work on their feet all day long, and they know the pain of going a single day in unsupportive shoes. Nevertheless, there's no reason anyone should have to shell out for expensive orthotics when the Yaktrax Heat Adjustable Insoles come at a fraction of the price. Just pop these suckers in the oven for a couple of minutes, slip ‘em in your shoes and let them conform to your feet. Minutes later, you have great arch support and custom-formed cushioning that'll have you dancing through your day. The Yaktrax Heat Adjustable Insoles are also a great solution for hikers, skiers and snowboarders looking for custom footbeds without the shop hassle and prohibitive cost.

Bottom Line: Ding! Your custom Yaktrax insoles are ready.

Disappointed

Was looking forward to sculpted comfort, but I think these guys fell short. I haven't used these for anything hi-impact, but for everyday walking/hiking wear they don't give enough support. (read: my feet hurt at the end of the day)Go to your local retailer and get some gel insoles.

Hi, I have pretty flat arches and wonder if these will work for me. I WANT lots of arch support, but, you know, if i molded these insoles to fit my foot, it wouldn't be any help at all i dont think. anyone have any ideas?

Unless you trick the molding process by inserting something sturdy under the arch of the foot beds. While standing on it for couple of minutes and the beds are being customized to your foot, the arch will get exaggerated thus providing extra arch. It might go flat after a while though.

Very Supportive

These insoles have relatively high volume, which is what I need with my low-volume feet. They are fairly comparable to the Ed Viesters in terms of rigidity and shape. The surface fabric is somewhat prone to wrinkling during forming, but they can be reheated and reformed to reduce the wrinkles. They feel very good in terms of keeping the foot immobilized in the boot.

Outstanding!!!!

What can I say? Heat these suckers at 225F for couple of minutes, then slip them into your ski boots, put your feet on top of them for 2 minutes and voila - you have custom ski boot foot beds. Have several ski days on them now. Your foot will not move laterally inside the boot ( roll ), arch support is phenomenal and the overall feel is just right. You can't beat these.

Great boot inserts

I really like these insoles as cheap alternatives to heat molded ski boot footbeds. They did the trick in my telemark boots and are far more comfortable than the Super Feet insoles I had in there previously. They conform to my foot far better since they ARE heat moldable, and I still have a good feel for where the bottom of my boot is during ski placement. Highly recommended as an alternative to the really expensive heat molded footbeds or Super Feet insoles.

Works as well as custom orthodics!!!

This are slick and a great savings over the custom heat molded insoles for ski boots at expensive outfitters. I bought these being a little skeptical, but I needed something to support my high arches that were getting cramped during skiing. These have totally solved my issues and make my boots feel so much more comfortable...they feel better than new! Just pop them in the oven at 225F and then stick them in your boots, followed by your feet, and you have custom footbeds! Awesome! Buying several more as presents for skiers...
