Yakima BigHorn 4

The Yakima BigHorn 4 is an easy-to-use, sturdy four-bike hitch mounting rack. The mast folds down conveniently when free of bikes for vehicle access. The BigHorn 4 carries almost all bikes without needing top-tube adaptors. The SwitchBlade anti-sway bike cradles keep your bikes scratch free until you inflict your own damage on the ride. You guys went out of their way to fix a problem with delivery. You rock! But now that I've had it...wishing I went with a different option on a rack. Not sure if the problem is the rack or the hitch but either the hitch is too short...or the rack is too long. Had to use a metal grinder to make it fit. not that it fits (length wise)...it still wiggles side to side a bit more than I think is safe. Guess i'll have to use straps to secure it....

One bolt short of perfect

The only problem with the bighorn is that it is attached to the hitch with a threaded bolt. This is time consuming the put on, and often the bolt shakes itself loose when driving on rough dirt roads. Yakima did make the threaded receiver removable but depending on the exact size of your hitch using a standard hitch pin makes the rack too shaky. Other than that, it is the easiest and cheapest way to get four bikes on your car. It is super fast to load and unload bikes. I would highly recommend buying the lock system with this rack.
