Werner Ikelos Paddle - Carbon Blade - Straight Carbon Shaft - 2006
Werner's Ikelos is an aggressive high angle paddle designed for experienced kayakers who want a durable, lightweight paddle with both a powerful forward stroke and smooth linking strokes. This is not a paddle made for people who beat around the lake for a few minutes a couple times a summer with their sit-on-top kayak, it's made for a well-conditioned athlete and ideal for fitness paddling and racing. Its full-size foam core blades are light and buoyant with a dihedral shape for smooth forward strokes and a ribless back for smooth sculling.
Bottom Line: The ultimate high-end touring paddle.

I would say, for anyone looking for a big step up from little, bendy long-distance paddles, this one is well worth a look! Everyone ought to give it a try. Though I now use it as my main paddle. Bigger paddles for bigger paddlers, maybe? At least in my case.
