Vasque Mercury XCR Trail Running Shoes - Women's
Lace up the Vasque Women's Mercury XCR Running Shoes and leave the road behind. This trail running shoe's liner wicks sweat and moisture away from your feet towards a Gore-Tex waterproof, breathable membrane. The membrane lets sweat out without letting water in. The Vasque Mercury XCR's last has straight shape and more volume in the midfoot, making it ideal for runners who need more room for little toes or have low arches, but still need ample stability. A plastic forefoot plate under the Vasque Mercury GTX's midsole prevents you from feeling sharp rocks or sticks on the trail, and the Mercury GTX's lightweight and stylish design mean this trail runner can double as a casual or light day hiker as well.
Bottom Line: From the road to trail, stride after stride, the Vasque Mercury XCR provide a smooth, controlled ride.

Is this a good shoe for someone with a wide foot? I usually wear Saucony running shoes and Merrill shoes, which have a wide toebox. How does Vasque compare?

I love my Vasques. They are one of the shoes I find find feet my feet well and I believe I have wide feet. If it helps, I typically cannot wear Addidas but do also prefer Saucony and Merrel shoes. My pair of Vasque Velocitys have lasted me years and are still my favorite pair of shoes. I'm looking to replace them and am really only looking for another pair of Vasques.Hope this helps.
