Great Boots!

I’ve had these boots for about a year and a half and they’ve performed great. I had the Breeze 3 gtx before these and this is the closest they’ve come to those. Although they don’t use Gore-Tex or Vibram soles anymore, their proprietary materials are still just as dry, grippy, comfortable, and warm in my opinion. No major tread wear either. In fact I think the soles are lasting longer than Vibram’s so far. I don’t know why there’s so many bad reviews on these. I wear these almost daily for work out in the field and I also use them for hiking on rocky and rooty terrain and they’ve performed excellent. The only thing is that I had to take the laces from my old Breeze 3’s because the paracord ones these came with will slip and untie a lot. Other than that, these are great boots. Don’t be led astray by the negative reviews. Thanks Vasque!

These new boots are not the same quality

I have been wearing Vasque's boots for many years now. I get 1 to 1 1/2 years out of a pair of (model #7046) I have 3 older pairs I still wear to do house chores. The new boots (model #7752) that I purchased in September 2023 are wore out. Even the shoe laces broke. Please bring back the old style boots -- my ankles will thank you.

Bring back Breeze III GTX

Breeze III GTX were the best feeling boot you offered. Went through at least 3 pairs. Any newer model has been sub par in feel and comfort.

Breeze III

Great boot! I have had mine for over 5 years and have nearly 1100 Strava miles on them. Sole is holding up and even the original laces show no sign of wear. I rotate use of them with another brand which I have over 1700 miles on. No complaints!

Good Uppers crap soles

Bought them a couple years ago to go hunting with my so but life happens and couldnt go. So a couple weeks ago my rocky snake boots blew a sole so i started wearing these instead third full day the soles on both boots came loose only thing holding was the toe and heel put shoe goo on them there was no sign of any adhesive on the shoe or sole. not made in the USA im sure JUNK let me know if someone finds a good pair of boots that will last 6 months a year is to much to ask for im sure.

Quality must be slipping...

My first pair I had for 5 years of daily walking around before there were just too far gone. The second pair made it under 2 years before multiple parts where the laces thread through had torn out. I was debating trying a third pair but after reading the reviews it seems my disappointment would only continue. So I'm leaning this review hoping the negative feedback will turn into a better boot again in the future. You guys value engineered too far.

I could not be more disappointed

I have been contemplating writing this email for quite some time but yesterday was the final straw. I have worn Vasque breeze hiking boots almost daily for the better part of 15 years probably in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 pairs. When I purchased the last pair about 6 months ago, I was shocked when I took them out of the box, I could tell right away that the quality of all material upper leather and soles was about half the thickness as my old pairs and everything about them is cheap except the price. The path I normally walk has small rocks maybe 1-to-2-inch semi imbedded into the dirt. Walking on it with the new breeze boots actually becomes painful after a couple of miles due to how thin the soles are. I couldn't even imagine climbing up a rocky canyon or something of that nature in them. My house slippers have thicker soles on them than your new breeze designed soles. I wear my old pair when working in my shop they're still rugged thick upper, thick soles even being partially worn out and still comfortable just not much to look at and comparing them is like night and day compared to your new breeze hiking boots, honestly absolutely no comparison, I have spoken very highly to my friends over the years about your hiking boots but now I just tell them how disappointed I am that Vasque has gone the way of just about everybody else in the consumer market. Profit first consumer quality second. Thank you for the good years but I will never purchase another pair of your hiking boots again!

Great fit, but waterproofing does not last.

I tried on several boots and these boots fit the best and are very comfortable. They have excellent grip on rocks and have hike many miles with them. My only complaint is they don't stay waterproof for very long. Even snow melting on them will seep in.

redo the tops

I have used the Vasque boots very much in the past and have relied on the Juxt as my primary shoe for years! However, this is the first pair of Hikers I purchased from Vasque. I read reviews here and on other websites about the lace clips giving way and being the weak point of the boots. I can agree and here is why Vasque has to redo them. The top of the boots is too wide and the lace clips have too much tension on them. In the average boot, the space on your anterior ankle is usually covered by the tongue and some of the boot sides, making a tight supportive fit. But in these, the sides do not wrap around much at all. The tension holding the boots tight is not caused by the fabric ( tongue and sides of the boot), but is in essence caused by the laces, the weak points are the clips- they break. I do not think I would trust these for anything but walking on the weekends. I also was not for Goretex, but in walking in some wet grass, the boots get wet over say a damp morning. Get Goretex boots if you can.
