Voile Rescue Shovel System
Voile Rescue Shovel System
The Voile Rescue Shovel is an essential piece of gear for backcountry activities. You should never go into the backcountry without a shovel or a probe. Now you can carry these two safety items together in one piece of equipment. A 2.6 m probe is held in the shaft of this full sized shovel. Easily click off the T-handle for quick access to the probe; it will be there when you need it. Made from strong and lightweight aluminum throughout the Voile Rescue Shovel System is a reliable companion for all of your out of bounds adventures.
Bottom Line: Being safe is cool. You dig?
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

The BCA probe/shovel combo has a feature that prevents the "falling out". I assume that this does also.

Yeah, at 8.5 feet it is a little shorter then average but it will get the job done fine.
8.5 feet of snow equates to many tons of snow that will have to be removed in order to find the victim. Any deeper of a burial and the chances are very slim you could even dig them out in time.
